Hi Swinstie, sorry to hear you having so much probs with implant
Don't know if it helps at all but I just changed from combined pill to mini pill and that's working ok for me- and my skin seems to have improved yipee! It's the one called cerazette which you take in a similar way to combined pill- ie you have 12 hour 'window' for taking it. Just in case you were thinking of other options... at least you know what was making you feel so
*hugs*

One of the Docs at our local surgery tried to "persuade" me to have the implant a while back - I said no point blank as I'd read previously about the mood swings and depression that can come with both that AND the injection too. Might be worth you looking into the EVRA patch - that's what I'm on - the pill isn't an option for me due to a terribly bad memory, I know I would certainly forget it! The patch is changed once a week, it goes on your stomach, upper arm or buttock (I always wear mine on my stomach as I find there is less chance of dislodging it there, although in fairness it does stick very firmly) and stays in place for the week, when you stick a new one on. You have a 24 hour window to remember the change, although as a general rule I find remembering it once a week is not a problem for me. Best thing so far as I'm concerned is no more PMT either. Doctors tend to be reluctant to prescribe as it's not cheap, but if you can get across that it is the best option for you you might stand a chance.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi all,
Thanks for all the suggestions, Laura, been on Cerazette and I'm sure it was that one that gave me bad headaches, I've tried most of the pills and they've either given me headaches or I forget to take them! The patch sounds good EH, will ask about that on Wednesday when I get this out.
Not been too bad over the weekend, a wee bit of road-rage on the drive home from OH's tonight but apart from that it's been ok. Think just knowing it's coming out helps. Wondered if could do a revenge attack on the skanks before it comes out then blame it on that. Diminished responsibilty or something, ha!
Anyway off to watch X-Factor from last night or I might just watch tonights and see who gets booted, then early to bed for me I think. No dinner to make as we had a bite whilst out, Haggis, Tatties & Neeps, Mmmmmmmm. Oh and Strawberry & Brownie Cheesecake with pouring cream. There was a good reason for this, once this comes out I'm hoping to lose some weight, so I am cramming in as much rubbish as possible just so I can see if it coming out sees me lose any weight. There is a method in my madness!
Have a great nite everybody xx0 -
Morning all,
Only one day to go before the removal of the evil that is within me! Feels like I'm going for an exorcism or something, ha! Really hope it's not painful coming out as I can get a bit squeamish. Not much else been happening, all quite boring really but all will be looking up by the weekend, off to Edinburgh for the day for my birthday celebration. Just myself and OH, he is taking me for dinner, a nice Italian I hope. It'll probably be freezing but as long as it stays dry it'll be fine.
Oh well, better get back to work, actually sitting here on my ownsome and feeling a bit dejected. Hope everyone else is having a good day, and roll on the weekend x0 -
In case I don't post again before the weekend have a fantastic birthday Swinstie!
Hope "The Removal" goes ok. I'm squeamish too and hate anything that involves doctors poking and prodding about (even after having two children!). I always go stiff when I have my smear and they say "just relax". Relax!!???I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Thanks Sun Addict! It's not til next Monday but celebrating with OH on Saturday as Monday's are rubbish!
Well home for dinner, before anyone chastises me for not being at the gym on a Tuesday, well can I just say that I CANNOT BE AR*SED! It's so cold out and I just want to have dinner and snuggle up in my jams.
The reality, I need to make dinner first, eat, talk to OH who was out til 6am this morning working (from 6pm last night), then go food shopping cos got nothing in for the rest of the week and I might pick up a few Christmas presents whilst out. I realised after spending £60 the other night at Asda that most was on 'stuff' and only about £13 on food. What a numpty, no wonder my stomach is rumbling!
So kitchen, here I come, now where did I see some food.....0 -
Happy birthday for next week

Hi All,
Well I am finally rid of the dreaded implant! It wasn't too bad getting it out but the local anesthetic (sp?) was bl**dy painful. Have now got a bandaged arm which I have to take off tomorrow, the bandage not my arm :rotfl::rotfl:
Then the dressing comes off at the weekend. Got the patch so will start that tomorrow, you can apparantly 'wear' it on your shoulder, arm, stomach or bum. Think I will chose a different location each time and see if OH can find it. He will get a prize if he finds it
OH was visiting tonight and noticed I was very chirpy, it's daft I know but just knowing my moods will improve made me happy tonight.
Anyway hope everyone is good, I'm off to fill up my hot water bottle and go to bed, nite all xx0 -
