Hey,
Hope you're ok! Glad to see you are back on track a little, seems you were having an up and down period for a while, know that feeling  I hope you are feeling much better now.
I agree with everyone re option B - i'm sure you'll achieve

Ok, have updated my ticker with all my payments off this month and shockingly, I have only paid 0.2% since last month. Have updated my debt free date though so doesn't seem too bad. Never going to make it to 50% by Christmas, boo. Oh well, could be worse.0

Good afternoon Swinstie
Don't worry about not making your target by Christmas you still need to have a life as well as pay back debt. If you throw too much at it you will get fed up. I did momentarily toy with the idea of spreading my last little bit of debt over the remaining 0% months so I would have a bit of breathing space but decided I would rather get it out of the way by Christmas just in case OH doesn't have much work on in the new year.
Not sure how to do the quote thing but in reply to Essex Hebridean I consider myself chastised and thanks you really made me think about the van loan and it gave me a brilliant idea. I've worked out how much we'll need to replace the van when the loan is paid off, divided this by how many months the loan still has to run and will save this amount every month so that when it's paid off and OH needs to get a new van the money will be there for him to pay for it in cash. This plan will come into action starting January as all spare cash in November and December will be used to clear the credit card. So thank you for making me think about it :T Just hope I haven't led anyone astray!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Great idea SA! I'm doing that with my loan, putting the same amount away and in by March 2011 when the loan still has a year to run I will pay it off early but still have some left for possible new car.
Well some good news and bad news. The good news, got a reply from Halifax re my credit card and they have extended the 0% til Sept 2010, so got a 9 month card which is now 12 months. Very happy about that as it gives me some breathing space and possibly won't need a new 0% next year.
The bad news, I drove home tonight in floods of tears, I am feeling really down again, the last month or so has been dreadful. I have been researching the web and although I knew this months ago, I am 100% convinced that it's my Implanon that's to blame. It's due to come out next January but I am phoning the doctor tomorrow to ask for it to be removed ASAP. 300+ girls can't be wrong when they say they have all had major mood swings and becoming depressed. I was honestly driving home and thinking 'I just feel like driving into a ditch'! I couldn't even speak to OH tonight as I kept crying, but have spoken to him and he agrees it should come out. Feeling more positive now, it's so strange to feel good one minute and the next crying my eyes out. Hoping to be a different person soon, watch this space, might even be a new diary for the new me! xx0 -
HI Swinstie
Just wanted to give you a big hug - it must be horrid to have such mood swings. It must also be scary to have such thoughts. If you ever feel like you want to talk about those sort of thoughts/feelings without being judged - I can highly recommend Samaritans. They are really caring and will take the time to listen - even if you are feeling irrational.
Hope a good night's sleep and a chat with the doctor brings about positivity.

Hi Swinstie
Get that Implanon out ASAP if it's doing this to you, it's just not worth it. I really hope you will feel better soon.
Great news about the Halifax card though! At least you have some breathing space.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning all,
Phoned the doctor's this morning but I can't get an appointment to have this flipping thing removed until December! They did give me another number to call, but again nothing til the end of Nov/beginning of Dec, makes you wonder how many people this is affecting who obviously all want it out. I was crying on the phone so she gave me an appointment for the doctor on Thursday to see if there is anything they can do in the meantime. I can see where this is heading, ha!
Thanks for the advise Urg and SA! I am ok for now but until this is taken out I will be venting my irrational thoughts on here or on poor OH. He sounded so worried and I hate worrying anyone. I even told a manager in work today who understood totally and has said if I feel bad to get out the office for a breather. It's hard when working with all men, but I had to tell someone, cos it explains my moods at work this past few months.
I have the gym tonight then OH is coming to stay tomorrow night so I will manage til Thursday. Thanks everyone, will keep posting to keep myself sane, ha! xx0 -
Hugs
Sorry you are feeling so down - scary to have mood swings like that! Glad that you were able to tell your manager - hopefully that will mean you can get some support at work. Hope you feel much better very soon!
