Hi
Glad you're feeling better :A My job has been manic recently, with very little support, so you have my sympathy  Sounds like things are settling down a bit - and good luck with the OH 'talk'Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hi all,
Glad I'm feeling better as well, although today has been weird, I've felt very emotional all day and could've cried at the drop of a hat! Hardly anyone in the office so no-one was bugging me or anything but everything was setting me off.
For anyone who has read from the beginning will know, I lost my dad 16 years ago, this month actually, his anniversary is quite soon and I guess it affects me more than I ever let on. I remember going to a fortune teller years ago and although she was rubbish on future stuff, she mentioned my dad and a watch he gave me - I howled the whole time I was in with her. I really believe he was there as she also said that he liked the new frame I got for his picture. Now that was freaky, as I had just moved out of home and had a picture of him in my room which I had packed away for the move. I had just bought a new frame for it a week before I went to her.
Ok, I'm not going to sleep tonight now, I'll be too freaked out, so better talk about something else.
Got some more Christmas presents today, just a few things. Savingholmes, got another two of those kilner jars from Asda for £1 but when I looked at my receipt they charged me £2 . Going to go back tomorrow and demand my £2 back, better check on sweets I bought first as they were 2 for £5 but they charged me £2 each, so £4 which will cancel out the over-charge.
Hope everything settles down at your work too Shoe-Gal. I know my job is probably safe but there is talk of pay-offs so I guess it gets you a little nervous knowing anyone's coat could be on a shaky nail.
Lastly, as for the 'talk' with OH, I am not going to bring it up again, although we have been together 2.5 years and some people have the 'talk' after a few months so I have been more than patient. He has been married before and I know some people simply don't want to do it again.
Okay off to bed once have updated my spreadsheet. Nite all xx0 -
Hi Swinstie, got your PM chick, ta. Glad your feeling better. Don't be silly- you are always welcome to pop in and say hi on the blondie thread- even if you don't wanna trail through all the posts (which we all know is mostly assorted rambled nonsense anyway!
) We do miss you...
Anyhoo- boys are just rubbish aren't they? At least you didn't wait 9 years to have your chat! I'm guessing he probably does want what you want- commitment etc but after being married before it's a bit scarier second time around? Maybe
And glad you got most of your assorted nightmares sorted! That was a run of bad luck...
Hugs n stuff
xx
ps I will probably have noses and eyes and bells left over for reindeer- do you want any?0 -
Anyone not knowing what we are talking about is gonna think I'm a proper weirdo now who keeps reindeer eyes and nose lying around :rotfl:0
-
I just typed a huge post and it disappeared
.
Anyway, this one will need to be shorter as got the housework to do :rotfl::rotfl:
Laura, it's only when you talk to yourself, people think you are weird, ha! Thanks for the offer of the eyes/noses/bells but already bought the stuff. Think I will have loads left too, why don't they come in smaller quantities?! Going to make a few extra for stocking fillers, have made one already and it's so cute. It has one eye pointing up so looks like it has mad reindeer disease :rotfl::rotfl:
Went to Asda and not only did I get my refund but I got an extra £2 cos it was their mistake, result. Also took shirt I bought for OH back to Matalano to exchange for a bigger size, it looked really neat, so all in all a productive day.
Just about to make turkey curry, a wee change from chicken and cheaper so better go do a quick tidy then get on.
Oh, also got another letter from the bank about my credit card, the first letter must have been from the email the guy I spoke to sent, and here was me doubting he sent it. Wonder if should wait and see what else they offer or tell them it's resolved?! Another month would suit me fine.
Ok, going this time, have a good weekend everyone x0 -
Hi Swinstie
Hope you managed to get the housework done and enjoyed the curry.
It sounds as though you've been through a really tough time. Give yourself time and listen to yourself - you know you better than anyone else.
Waving to you.
urg x x0 -
Hi Swinstie, pleased to hear that you sound brighter (mood-wise not intelligence-wise, though you could be both I guess!). Well done on getting the refund from Asda, I'm really rubbish at doing things like that. Hope the curry was good!
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Hi everyone,
Trying to go with the on/off for a couple of days at a time to give myself time to do other things, like housework - it ain't working. I'm sitting here in my jammies having watched back to back episodes of Harper's Island, OMG that was brilliant, and the first episode of Flashforward. Think I will like it, only another 40+ hours of tv to catch up on :rotfl::rotfl:
I have had dinner and made a mess of the kitchen making scones. I now have 10 lovely cherry and coconut scones for work (I did have 12 but had to test them, you know how it is). Will give OH one on Wednesday (then I'll give him a scone :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:). Can't wait to see him as he's been working all weekend, and his mobile is out of action so no texting either, boo! I miss his texts in the morning.
Pay day on Friday and I can't wait to pay more off my debt, it's went up slightly cos of car insurance so doesn't look like I'll hit the £7.5K mark by the end of the year. Hoping not to use the credit card at all the rest of the year so I can really make a dent in the 0% one. Only thing I will need to buy next year (so far) is a new lawn mower as mines blew up trying to mow the jungle that is my garden, it's currently sitting in the middle of the lawn, which I didn't even get to finish, as I can't be ar*sed trying to get it in the bin - a job for OH on Wednesday night methinks.
Also got a phone call to work at the catering on Saturday and Sunday :j. As much as I don't want to, I will do it, need to keep my hand in and it's always more money for the debt.
Work was ok today, picked up after had email tennis with Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Have to check the defibrillator this week (there is a rota) and no-one had checked it the last two weeks, so I sent an email to the 1st aiders just to remind them of the rota, she came back with (after I had spoke to her) 'I did mines at the beginning of October', I replied, yes I know but only the 1st was done. No, I did the 1st, 2nd and 3rd (oh yeah so you came into check on Satuday - numpty). Basically it was an email to remind everyone to check it but she took it that I was getting at her, god forbid as she is THE BEST 1ST AIDER IN THE WORLD! Who gives a to$$, I'd love to have practised my bandaging right across her mouth, using it as a gag :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a nice night, I'm off to watch ANTM, ooh wonder if Celia will get binned after her outburst?!!0 -
