Hi all,
Just thought I'd check in as I know you all worry :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hey Fuzz
I'm am feeling better on and off! Was at a course yesterday so didn't really have time to be in a mood and OH came down last night and took me out for dinner so I didn't have to cook (or do dishes), so that cheered me up loads. I have the doctors this afternoon so hoping they can get me an appointment soon. The nurse who does the procedure is apparantly on bereavement leave so I can't very well be a biatch and demand she come in just for me. I still have some sensitivity left, at least. I'm kind of dreading being back on the pill though as I'm really bad at remembering to take it, i.e. forgot my heartburn tab this morn, ate breakfast, and now have heartburn, duh!
Anyway, catch up later and hope everyone else is well xx0 -
Hi Swinstie - just caught up with your diary. SO SORRY you've been feeling so rough - but great that you have a plan and that implant is on its way out. xOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi Rupe,
Thanks for that! Well drove to the doctor with a big speech ready as to why this should come out, feeling down, snapping at people, crying all the time etc., etc. Goes in, sits down and says had phoned on Tuesday to get it out cos it's making me depressed, she took one look and said 'right we can get you booked in next Wednesday'! !!!!!!! I was told it would be at least December. I could jump with joy right now. Only prob is what the heck do I do now (as far as contra goes), OH says we will discuss at the weekend, which I'm surprised about as he usually shies away from discussions of this sort. It is both our responsibility I suppose so we need to sort something out. I feel like a weight has been lifted, maybe some of the weight I put on with now shift as well, I can only live in hope.
Have a good nite everyone, I'm in need of a semi-early nite xx0 -
Hi Swinstie
Glad you're getting things sorted. I'm still on the pill at the grand old age of 49 but last time I went for a check up the nurse tried to interest me in having the Mirena coil fitted. She had almost sold me the idea and gave me a leaflet about it to read and consider. I asked her a few questions about it, daft ones like will there be any strings hanging out (but not daft to me!) and she said no the strings are inside you. Read the leaflet at home and as soon as I saw the bit that said the doctor will show you how to check the strings are still in place my mind was made up - NO WAY am I fiddling about searching for strings that might be high up somewhere in tubes and things. I felt sick at the thought. So I will be sticking with the pill until I get the menopause but the nurse said I would have to go for check ups every six months instead of once a year because of my age. I think I can cope with that - no strings attached :rotfl:
OH did say maybe he should get done but I think we'll stick as we are at the moment. It can't be long now until I get the menopause - my mum had hers at 42 with no symptoms whatsoever lucky thing!
Have a great weekend! :beer:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi Swinstie - really glad you now have a date to get the thing out. Hopefully things will soon improve after thatAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi All,
Hoping things will improve too, can't get any worse! Was working tonight at my part-time job, my last shift as I really can't be bothered working with a bunch of cliquey (sp?) skanks! I was 'dobbed' in tonight that I wasn't doing anything, even though I was clearing stuff like I was told to do. Honestly, makes me wonder why I even did it in the first place, ok the extra money came in handy but I have never fitted in, and as I said they have their little clique. Now if I was a Buckfast swilling, 15 stone, 24 year old with 5 kids, wearing enough slap to keep Boots in business and who would stab you as soon as look at you, then yes I would fit in. I am just too quiet I guess and don't really do the backstabbing stuff. One new girl (who worked there before) was 'told' to do something and she told her to F_Off and don't tell her what to do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh, how I wish I had the guts!
Anyway, so no more extra money for Swinstie, but hey I can live without it if only not to see that lot again. My sister is going to a Xmas nite there in December (I'm out that night too so would'nt have been working), wonder if she could trip them up or something :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. If she has a drink in her, she actually would
Anyway nite all, just thought would do a quick post since I can't flipping sleep x0 -
Hi Swinstie
I have spent the last 4 days reading your whole diary. Staying up until ridiculous times of the night to try and get through it! I wanted to say first of all
WELL DONE!!
You've gotten so far proving people can still have a life while dealing with debt. Second of all I know this is your life and it is real life but I enjoyed your diary the way I would a book! I was just looking forward to finding out how you were getting on! Maybe you should become a writer?! It was inspiring. Anyway I am glad you have found the answer to your mood up and downs. I am considering writing a diary myself, but we are just about to move house so I might leave it until we move in and I can find time between that and juggling a 7 month old lol Good luck and keep debtbusting!0 -
Thanks for that Abcynthia, I read your post this morning but was rushing out to get to the gym, so didn't get to reply. Can't believe you read it all over 4 days, I've done that too with other diaries and they inspired me to write my own. Good luck with the house move and the juggling of a 7 month old, I will look out for your diary when you start one. x
P.S. I'd love to be a writer but :eek:0 -
Hi Swinstie,
Pleased you've got a date quite soon, that should be a relief. Having worked second bar jobs in the past, I agree the extra money can be nice but just think how nice it'll be to have your evenings back.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'
