Hi Swinstie
I agree with you about the twins - don't you think they are creepy? I can't make my mind up who I want to win X Factor this year yet. I voted for JLS last year, still think they should have won although I think they're doing better than Alexandra now anyway.
Good luck with the bank complaint.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hey all,
Well didn't have salt, weird thought I had a big bag! So have used soda crystals instead and loads of hot water! Bathroom done, just finish doing dishes then the kitchen sink is getting it. Still scared to put another wash on though, please let the hose be ok now!!
Well wrote my letter to the bank today, think I got my point across and have said am considering changing bank. Got a letter from A&L with their offer of £100 to switch, is anyone with them and if so how easy is it to switch? Might really consider it now, only thing is have just set up my savings account which runs for a year, damnation. Have also reduced my holiday savings to £50 per month, should still have enough for a cheap holiday anyway, and going to put the other £50 towards the new credit card. Maybe this is a good thing, will make me pay it quicker now.
Well off to finish the kitchen and whilst the kettle is on, have a cuppa. Boards down tonight so at least will get to bed at a decent time tonight, ha. If don't get back on, have a nice nite everyone x0 -
If you do switch to A&L you may get more if you do it via quidco - worth looking into.... Some people have had problems with A&L altho a lot of mse people seem to bank there poss because of the incentives!
I can't stand those twins and I prefer JLS too!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I loved JLS, spent a fortune last year texting to vote for them!
Will think about the A&L thing some more, haven't had a whole lot of trouble with Halifax tbh, funnily enough both problems were relating to credit cards, makes you wonder!
Well had a rubbish day at work so far, bl**dy guys wanting this and that NOW, but I have calmed down now and having lunch. Looking forward to the gym for once too, as I really need to chill out, think it's my hormones, ha!0 -

Hormones have a lot to answer for :rotfl:
Hope your day gets better :Dxx0 -
I think my hormones are making me mental actually!
I posted my cheque to Virgin two weeks ago and because of postal strikes they have just received it! So, here's me thinking I have money left this month and I got a big disappointment as now only got £25.10 to last me til 23 October! Guess who'll be using her savings this month?! All this had to happen the same time they changed my bank account where you now get charged £1 a day if you go into your overdraft - Halifax are out to get me!0 -
hope that your exercise raises your endorphin levels and cheers you up.... listen me - that is about the closest I usually get to exercise! However, I am going belly dancing again tonight! Hope it is a bit more fun than last week - I am not very good coordination wise so it bordered on embarassing last week!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Already have the new account Laura, flipping changed it last week whilst doing my review! Have had to move money from savings into it, can't believe been so stupid trying to pay extra to my credit card that I left myself short!
Anyway, think I'm going to have to take a step back from MSE and not be on here so much, if I don't post much in other diaries please don't get offended, I just need to stay off here and get my sh*t in order. I almost walked out on my job today cos everything is getting on top of me and I know that is not a good thing to do. Will only be on here in the evening to update on any debt reducing progress, feels like I'm getting too obsessed trying to pay things off that I'm forgetting how to live. OH was on the receiving end up my call where I was crying down the phone and I'm really surprised he didn't dump me then and there. It's my fault and my mess and I will fix it, just need to have a break or something.
Sorry for the moaning post and thanks guys for listening! I don't want to bring anyone down with me, so if you want to post to say get a grip, that's good, I'll catch up with everyone at some point x0 -

I kind of know how you feel - you spend so long obsessing about being debt free and being on here helps you to feel like you are. I too have pulled back a bit from here.
Take time out for you - we all understand. Enjoy being with OH and remember what's important. It doesn't need to you spend a whole lot of money - just you and him!
Love
