I'm sure you're not Shoe Gal!

Well, didn't make the gym after all, woke up with a banging sore head, sore throat (which have had for a few days), the sneezes and a racking cough! OH's fault, he has had the cold all week and now I have it. I can cope with the cough and the sneezing but the headache is major. Just going to have some breakfast and snuggle down for the day. Luckily because I cleaned yesterday, the place is looking rather spiffing, so will have a day of relaxation then get the bedroom of doom sorted tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

    Hi all,

Still having a duvet day, infact it's turned into a duvet weekend! Not sneezing too much but the coughing is so bad I'm actually making myself sick! I don't think it's anything more dodgy than normal flu, but OH has had his cough now for over two weeks, I've told him to at least phone the doctor, as he is diabetic, but he is so stubborn, typical man eh!

Anyway, think I will be calling in sick to work tomorrow, I'm mad though because I was trying to get to a full year without being off work, was off last December (can't remember exactly when) but guess I'm not getting to that year. Unless I wake up feeling great tomorrow that is! Still got this bl**dy cold sore too, does anyone else get them, how bad do they get? Reason I'm asking, is I have never had one, ever! Must just be run-down I guess, just my luck! Anyway don't know how much more tv I can watch, or tea I can drink. I hate being ill.

Hope everyone else is better than I am xx

ETA: At least I haven't spent any money this weekend!

    Hi Swinstie

Sorry to hear you're not well - make sure you take time out to rest. I'm not sure if I should say but there is a cough out there that seems to stay around for a while.

There is always a bonus to being ill - you don't spend money. Well done to achieving 2 NSDs!

I've just realised how bad my spending has been - I've managed to spend money on the CC as its been in my purse. Need to take control again (will i never learn:rolleyes:).

  • You have my sympathy - I have the cough too and it's rotten. I think the headache is actually to do with the coughing too you know. :undecided I've kept taking the vitamin C throughout and that seems to have warded off the worst of it at least - it's just the wretched cough driving me mad! Hope you're feeling better by the monring so you can get to your year - I'm aiming for the same too!

    Hi all,

Thanks for your get well wishes, actually feeling a bit better but cough is driving me mad - hope yours improves too EH!

Not really done much the last two days, no spending but on going through the fridge have just had to throw out 2 packets of meat as they were out of date, I hate when that happens. Oh and I also have to eat 12 off Muller Rice as 9 off them were out of date yesterday and 3 off by the 24th. I think I am going to be feeling even more sick. Can't even give them to anyone, unless I go to my Mum's tomorrow, don't really want to though or I'll pass the lurgy on. So have saved money, but also wasted money, really need to assess what and when I buy when doing my shopping.

Ok, off to see how many Muller Rice I can eat.... Could be an act on Britian's Got Talent next year, ha!
