We went to Bluewater y'day, as DBro's OH asked if we could bring her some Thornton's toffee. B'water as a whole wasn't too bad, but Thornton's was a seething maelstrom of mums with small children, trying to manipulate pushchairs in a long narrow shop while juggling stacks of Easter eggs

There must be some money around. Our local one seems to have been heaving for the last week and today they were queueing outside. Can't see why myself - someone once bought me some Thorntons choc - i think it might have even been an Easter Egg - and I found it not very pleasant. I have seen a lot of people with huge arms full of shopping bags of Thorntons Easter Eggs for weeks now which I can only put down to the closure of Woolies. But they are not at all cheap - aren't they on average £5-10 or so.There is still Sainsburys, Tesco, Wilkos, Iceland, Poundland, etc etceven Marks and Sparks...

I thought there was a credit crunch on... so can't see where people are getting money to burn on inferior eggs:confused::confused:
