.............. while I nip to town for master tru's euros. His passport came on time and he's off to Amsterdam tomorrow for the weekend  I can imagine what three 18 and 19 year olds will get up to there, so I'm going to try and pretend that he doesn't exist til he reappears on monday. Otherwise I'll go mad with worry .....

I will be doing a bit of that in the summer - DS2 & his g/f just booked their flights to South America yesterday. They are together starting in Brazil for the first month then she comes home while he stays for another 6 weeks ........I know he's 21 but it's a mother's right to worry, isn't it? :o

Talking of Milton it works a treat on green stuff on drives and pathways, bucket of water with it in a stiff broom and some elbow grease......

I used to use the Milton from DS1's bottles to soak his next batch of nappies... see, I was OS 23 years ago & didn't know it!

My parents had both planned their funerals and it certainly made their last weeks easier & made things easier for us only having to choose a casket......I've told my OH & DS's I want to be cremated (it's a comfort knowing that 2 Dr's have to certify so I will definitely be dead!) but my only problem is what to go out to - Disco Inferno, Light My Fire or Bye Bye Baby! :D

HockeyDuo - had a text from OH yesterday to say keep the weekend of 13/14 March 2010 free.......he's got 2 tickets for the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield! :T:j

  • Morning all. Have not been around at all lately so gentle hugs to those who need/want them.

So excited here. We found a new flat. We're in a very large double bedsit now and this actually has a separate bedroom. :j Oh the simple things that thrill me.

We have a very small deposit to pay and are getting it for an absolute steal on the rent. It does need a good cleaning, painting and one new carpet. The kitchen is tiny however I can see the potential there without a doubt.

The owner is also giving us 3 months free rent in exchange for the remodel!:j So it's planning, packing and all that goes with that.

Hope to get caught up eventually.

    Hugs and prayers for all,

    Peyton xx

  • Well done Peyton, it's very exciting isn't it!

Floss - I hear that, it's a cracking day out and Calcutta Cup rugby is always very exciting!

Just heard that garage failed my wee car. Needs £170 + labour spent on it. I don't think so matey. Quick call to my uncle (he's a mechanic), and says he can do it for £80 all in. Nothing like family rates!

We went in 2006 and got very wet...and had bought our tickets via the Scottish RU website so were in with the Scots fans rather than the English ones! It was a fab day out though, and the massed-fans walk back into town was really good!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Little bear and I were taken out for a trip to a local ice cream place, where little bear ate his chocolate icecream in tiny dabs, savouring it like a wine taster and he saw some animals, and has now collapsed for a nap.

I am about to do the same and abandon all OS as I feel so tired I could cry. Hopefully evil cat will allow me to nap, she's not known for it.

But also Pippa thank you for the tip re Miltons on paths as I need to do the steps (again!).

    Hugs to all.

Evil cat will not let me nap. I don't have the energy to do anything else. Fish & Chips are looking very possible for tea :o As I still haven't refilled the freezer after losing all that stashed stuff. :o But I will. Just not today.

    Hugs to all.
