I have to say that half my sellers dont leave feedback even after ive left them feedback.

It can be frustrating but my feedback doesnt bother me really, when im buying as long as the seller has over 99% positive and non of them are for fakes/conterfit items Im not too concerned, odd items do get lost etc.

However i do think that sellers waiting for buyers to leave them positive to ensure they are happy with the item is wrong, surely if the buyer has paid they have done their part and deserve a positive! Its as if you leave off leaving a positive rating because you wont leave one if you get a negative (which is normally of your own doing!) and this is unfair on the buyer who did their part by paying!

With the sellers not being able to leave negs i agree a good thing but at the same time i think if as a seller you file a non payer dispute for a buyer and its found in your fav you should be able to leave negative to warn over sellers!

Thats my opinion but to be honest it doesnt bother me if a seller leave feedback or when.

As both a buyer and a seller, if the other party badgers me for feedback, they get none. .

I've never been brave enough to refuse anybody feedback - even though it really bugs me to be pestered for it.

I think I resent the implication that I need reminding, and that it's Ok for the other party to leave their feedback as and when they wish but I have to do it on *their* timetable.

I got an email last night from a lady who received her item a week ago, (recorded mail) left feedback last night and began badgering me to leave mine 45 minutes later.

    How rude!

And it's just as well that i didn't check in withe Bay when i got home late last night tired an emotional or I'd have left her feedback all right! ;):D

I would agree with this entirely too: If a buyer doesn't pay he should get a neg. If a buyer expects the earth, he should get a neg.

But I still raise the point: I buy something. I pay for it, usually within an hour - certainly within a day (if the item has finished whilst I've been out). Within reason, I expect the vendor to despatch the item within 2 working days (eg item bought Monday, posted by Wednesday / item bought Friday, posted by Tuesday) OR that the vendor send me an email to tell me, eg. "I'm going to a wedding this weekend - won't be despatching things until we get back in 'x' days time - perfectly understandable.

What I couldn't get over was someone having my money for a week then 'flaming me' for asking "Where's the item", then negging me for having had the adacity to ask such a question.... But at least that's stopped now!

Even the buyer that bought a £50 gift voucher from me, signed for it as I'd sent it SD and then claimed she hadn't recieved it a week later as the online sig wasn't showing? She dropped the claim when I forwarded a copy of the POD to her as "her husband signed for it and forgot about it" even though it was clearly her name on the POD.

She certainly deserved something, but it sure wasn't positive feedback!

Now we're getting to the bottom of it. You want sellers to leave feedback first so they cant complain about you later?

I think you have just been unlucky. Most sellers are very good and value a good customer.

A seller cant leave negative feedback or a positive ratng with a neg comment as ebay remove it for breaching their feedback policy!

I always leave my buyers positive feedback once they have paid. After all they have paid and i cant leave them negative so whats the point in not leaving it, before when the new feedback systems changed i stopped leaving feedback till i got it from my buyer but i found buyers didnt leave feedback so i decided to start leaving feedback for my buyers and now i get feedback from every buyer within a 1 week of posting item.

Same as as soon as i recieve an item as long as their isnt an issue with it i will leave positive feedback, Ive only ever left one negative and that was well deserved.

I still don't get how not leaving feedback first means that the seller won't post something quickly?

Some buyers, after they have paid still don't deserve good feedback.
You don't sell much by your own admission so I doubt you have come across the phenomena of the teleportation device buyer.
They pay one day, usually late in the day, and expect it to be with them pretty much by the next morning.
It's a birthday present, or it's three days before christmas, or they are going away on holiday and need to take it with them.

They get rude and sometimes aggressive when you explain to them that even first class it might not get there in time and that maybe they should buy it from a shop...

And they all ways typ leik th@t kthnksby. :p
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

Isn't it true all you sellers out there that you wait for feedback to be left first in case your buyer mons you've either lied or waited a week to stick the items in the post?

No honey, that's not it at all. I just feel like a big fat fake if I leave glowing "Wonderful eBayer" type feedback just cos they paid, and a massive chump if I leave them smiley face feedback if they then go on to lie, cheat or send me close up photos of their genitalia.

Isn't it a bit patronising to give people a reward just for paying for the goods they bought? It's not like it's a complicated task or anything. And personally I don't feel as if they're doing me any huge favour by paying. If they want the goods they have to pay. That's not a new concept! ;)

Isn't it like saying that all we care about is their money?

You paid, Great. Have a cookie.

I can't help it - people who don't send me emails saying how desperately disappointed they are that I took almost 12 hours to post their late evening purchase, people who don't email on monday morning threatening solicitors and bailiffs because they haven't yet received their saturday night purchase, and people who don't try to blackmail me after purchase into reducing the price deserve better feedback than the ones who do.

And i can't tell which is which ten minutes after their paypal payment.:D
