I am hoping that means they can't enforce it and its unlikely to happen ?

I think its more of a question of whether you want me to take them apart if they do attempt to do that cos I like the sport of tearing a bank to shreds(I think I was a puppy dog in a previous life ;) ).

  • Bank: HSBC
    Amount claimed: £2500 roughly
Offer received: £640 partial payment as in hardship.

Original claim in 2007 on hold. Wrote in as in financial hardship sending budget agreed with CAB showing ctax and rent arrears. HSBC made initial offer of £460, not quite enough to help me fully so I telephoned and after a negotiation they've offered £640. That will get my arrears paid! Agreed offer and sent in evidence by recorded delivery in light of the strikes (cost a fiver but I think was worth it) waiting for cash to be paid into account now. Timescale from sending in hardship letter to offer letter around 1 month.
Good luck to you all =)
    Council tax :0( £1200
  • Bank: Natwest
    Amount Reclaimed: £4770
    Amount they paid: £5200
How long did it take: 5 months
The story: claimed for hardship after relationship breakdown used all the templates off this site result!!!:money:
  • we have just sent off our expenditure form today, with a £80 a month shortfall. we were with the abby. anyone know how long for a reply?

  • Amount Clamined for : 3300
    Royal Bank of Scotland

I dont see many posts about RBOS so not sure if thats a good or bad thing.?

I claimed the first time round for £4400 before the "hold" on reclaiming, I got they full amount I asked for.

This time around 2 years later, I'm claming a further £3300 as in hardship. I wrote a letter around 2 months ago to which I was invited in to the branch , initally I was compllaining about some charges £200 that had come out in one month and taken all my working tax money. I got that back but did have to give up my cheque book , debit card and downgrade my account.

I've had the letter back asking for breakdown of my financials which I got and sent back in same day. 7 days after that got letter back from the collections debt asking for prove of what i had wrote , I sent that and more on the 13th of the month and now am just waiting day by day for the decision !! .........
