Did you keep a copy of the letter and any reference number given to your claim?0 -
Hello.
New to this forum, but I hope you can help.
I have put in a claim based upon financial hardship to Halifax (claim is for around £1900) and they have got back to me offering £120.
Has anybody received a first offer they have not been happy with, and if so what have they done to have the offer increased, and have they been sucessful?
Any help at all will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi i just wanted to say that i put in a claim for financial hardship to Barclays about a month ago , They sent me a form to complete about my circumstances ( i am self employed and my business has taken a hit due to the recession ! STRANGELY ENOUGH MOSTLY CAUSED BY THE BANKS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! and i was struggling to meet bills and incuring more charges ) i filled out the forms honestly and added the reasons why they should help .
Well today i checked my account online and guess what ...... ......................
THEY HAVE PUT £4351.25 INTO MY ACCOUNT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I nearly fell off the sofa .
So my advice is keep at them , they know the charges are unlawful and are unfair to the people most in need !
THANKS MARTIN IF I SEE YOU IN THE PUB I WILL BUY A PINT OR THREE XXXX

There is nothing that decides what payout will be given or the amount involved.0
