Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?
Are any of the arrears being paid off?
Did LloydsTSB state you weren't in hardship and why they felt that you didn't qualify?0 -

Please can someone let me know how quickly after recieving an offer letter does it take for the money to be transferred to your account? I am with NatWest0

So happy today to recieve an offer letter today for £2492 from NatWest. I never really thought it would be me posting a message lke this. I started my hardship complaint roughly 6 weeks ago by sending off the template letters. I am single mum who recently became unemployed and have outstanding council tax and utility bills. I sent proof of income support and recieved another letter asking for proof of outstanding bills etc. They agreed I am in financial hardship and finally recieved offer letter today Woohoo!. I have to say that all the people I have dealt with on the phone to NatWest have been friendly and informative.
Thanks to Martin Lewis and everyone who has posted on this site with success stories its really kept me going, I hope this inspires other people
Good luck everyone0 -

can someone help me i have claimed bank charges through financial hardship, although lloyds tsb agree and aknowledge i am indeed in hardship they have stated that they will still not deal with my claim until after the test case,i referred it to the fos and 4 months down the line with them they seem to be agreeing with lloyds.I keep trying to tell them that under the fsa waiver they should deal with my case straight away,i know that they dont have to refund me but they are not dealing with it therefore breaking the waiver0

the fos letter states
The acknoledgement of financial hardship does not mean that bank charges will automatically be refunded.there are a number of potential remedies, which may include transfer of an account to its recories department/transfer any overdraft to a loan account/cancellation of d.debits or standing orders/a full or partial refund of charges/ write off of some or all of your debt/an agreement about future payments.
My role as an ajudicator is to determine if the bank is doing enough to assist you.asyour account is with their collections department this enables you to agree a suitable repayment plan on any monies owed to the bank.we think the bank is doing enoughenough. The fairness of bank charges and treatment of customers, will be determined in the high court test case
For theses reasons i do not think your complaint should proceed.however if you disagree please contact us by 13 aug 09 to explain why you disagree and with any further evidence you would like to submit to support you claim.

In that case we have to go back one step then, did you get a final response from LloydsTSB Bank which should include their reason for not classing you as in hardship.
I am quite disappointed with that response with regards to the idea of converting the account into a loan. Further borrowing to clear debt is not something I would advise on.0 -
thats what i dont understand lloyds tsb agree and acknowledge that i am in financial hardship, but will not issue me with a final response until after the conclusion of the test case and the fos seem to agree they have done all they need to do at this point, but as i understood it they are breaking the rules of the waiver:mad:0
