Remember Halifax need to provide a FINAL RESPONSE and tell them you will be asking the FOS to look at your case.

Same questions really, do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent council tax, utilities)? Are you repaying any of the arrears?
Do you still use the account?
Have you received a final response yet?

yes I had council tax arrears they were going to take make to court, so paid them and now missing mortgage payments, we no longer use the accounts, just to pay money to cover overdrafts, we are also in a debt management plan with them, no final response yet.

You need them to give you a final response letter which should explain their reasoning behind the decision then we can see what can be done.
If the council tax arrears have gone that's one out of the equation. How many mortgage payments have been missed and are you repaying any of the arrears?

I missed a call today of the Halifax - the bank i'm claiming against - just wondering if they usually deal with financial hardship claims over the phone as I sent in a letter a week ago and have heard nothing since - has anyone experienced them dealing with the claim over the phone?
