its difficult on this thread to see the success stories because there is so much chat.

I to am trying to sort things out with Halifax and they are very difficult to get any success out of at the moment.

Hope I am not speaking out of turn but natweststaffmember, as a regular poster here...could you direct some of the people with questions to the discussion area?

I know it would be more helpful to me to be able to view this thread as just the success stories

At the top of this thread is "search thread" and if you type halifax successes it will come up with what you are looking for.
The difficulty with directing traffic is that you give no advice whatsoever. On all forums successes will produce people seeking info usually because of deaparation. Personally, I find it easier when someone starts their own thread cos all the information is in one place but many people may not regularly use internet forums so that might explain why people post as they do,
Board guides are the one who can moves posts or perhaps they could put a guide to using the forum at the top of the forum as a stickie perhaps.

Please report your financial hardship successes here, if possible in the following format:

    Bank:
    Amount Reclaimed:
    Amount they paid:
    How long did it take:
The story: (just a few sentences, please include how far you went eg did you just write to your bank or did you use the financial ombudsman)

Please don't use this thread for general discussion on reclaiming bank charges use this thread instead :)

I understand what you mean but the first post says it all really.

i hav recently sent off a letter requesting my bank charges paid over the past 6 yrs to lloyds and rbos, sent off 1st letters on the 11th july, and stil waiting for my list of charges, grrrrrrrrr, also ive heard that the courts hav waived in the consumers favour on the test case and ruled that these charges r unfair, can anyone confirm this, does that mean now that we get all unfair obscene charges back????

Where? The HoL test case is not over yet(that is only the half way mark). and they have 40 days from the date they cash the cheque to provide the details to you.

i used the templates on this site and posted them to my local lloyds and rbos bank, they r both literally 100metres away,i did this because it is with these 2 banks i had/hav accounts with and didnt want 2 risk sending the letters to london or sumwhere 4 them 2 reply saying contact your local branch 4 the list of charges,so its a timesaver in a way i suppose,i know they hav 40 days to reply, they wil probably wait until this maximum deadline 2 send them out as wel 4 delaying purposes.
also when i get these lists of charges do i sent my claim 4 refund letter back 2 my local branch or is there a head office that deals with these?
