My case has been on hold since August 2007 when I initially claimed for £3700. After filing my claim again under the financial hardship rules in March and a wait for a further 10 weeks, I received a letter from Abbey saying they will pay into my account £4220 of charges!!! MAJOR RESULT........although I'm still waiting for the funds to arrive, this is a huge step forward!!
Thankyou Martin, and I will post again when funds arrive! :rotfl:0 -

Halifax
Ammount claimed £0
Goodwill Gesture £3400.
I telephoned Halifax to complain about charges and the operator told me that she would inform customer relations on my behalf and fill in the required paperwork. I didn't expect to hear from them but a few days later I recieved a letter
informing me that as I was considered a 'hardship case' and that they would refund all bank charges over the last 2 years and suspend any further charges for the next 3 months! I am still owed about another £4000 but it's definately a start.0 -
Just received a goodwill gesture payment of £1864.50 into my bank account! Good lord, what a shock that was. My total claim was for around £2500, so I will contact Barclays and see if they can be persuaded to pay rest of it into my account. If not, no worries, I can hold out until the case is decided upon, but for now, I can pay off a lot of debtors with this goodwill gesture!
Keep at it people, as good things can happen0 -
