I forgot to report that I received £8000+ from Natwest back in April... as a rsult of my hardship claim. The whole process took about 6 weeks in all.
Good luck to everyone!

im worried sick halifax are dragging their feet and said although they agknowledged my hardhip they said all they can do to help is let me speak to their finiacal management team.I need to pay off my arrears caused by halifax taking my housing benefit in charges. My landlady will not renew my contract next month unless i can pay her back my arrears.
I dont know where to turn now, i am making myself ill with worry.0 -
'I am keen to resolve your complaint and am happy to make you an exceptional offer of £951'
Not bad, it's only taken since the 22nd February, 6 letters, 2 I&E forms, 4 different departments and nearly 6 hours of phone calls - one of which was 2 hours long (they paid;)).
I'd claimed £822 under hardship, due to being off sick for 10 weeks, so I'm happy with their offer and accepting.
The only sour note is that I raised a complaint with the FOS after eight weeks. They replied on the 03/06/09 telling me that are going to contact NW and that I will still have to wait around 2 months. They have ignored my emails asking about progress of my complaint and are, in my opinion, not fit for their purpose.
Anyway got my charges refunded so all's well that ends well.0 -
My claim for a refund with these parasites is with an adjudicator at the FOS right now. I don't think it is fair for Lloyds not to refund money under the FSA's hardship waiver, when other banks have.
Here's hoping for a positive solution to the test case, in the house of lords, this month.
Lloyds need a damn good kicking.0 -

Snap - they're doing the same to me although thankfully my case isn't as difficult as yours. I'm thinking the best thing to do is go to the Ombudsman - any brighter ideas?
I have had the same result with Halifax. They confirmed our hardship then said they wouldn't return any charges til after the test case. I have sent forms to the Ombudsman now.0
