    Can't see it really, they were sniping everyone, one by one :D

    I dare say that every order made to Silentnight via Freemans would have had to be checked, checked and double checked, or heads will roll :rotfl:
    Yes I agree that is what will probably happen in the end.
    The problem is a few have been known to slip through the net on some deals and we also know that Freemans are not the most efficient company to deal with !
    As far as I'm concerned I've still not had a cancellation or a refund or a phone call and ordered on the 6th with a quote of 14 days deliv. so would not consider contacting them till a couple of days after the 20th.
    On paper as far as I'm concerned everything is going through ok and as I've never heard of this forum I've no idea that orders are being cancelled :confused:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    It's not just about the money

  • I got a letter today stating that i had recieved a refund because the order had been cancelled. It didn't explain anything, like that it was them who cancelled it due to their own mistake, but whatever.

    Got this email in reply to my complaint this morning:

    Dear Customer

    Thank you for your email.

    We would advise you that the order was not processed due to a pricing error. Our Terms and Conditions state quite clearly that when you submit an order to us on our website you will receive a confirmatory e-mail to advise you that we are processing your order. This e-mail does not constitute acceptance of your order by us.

    Your order will be accepted by us, and a contract formed, when we despatch the goods to you. Whilst we always try to ensure that prices on our website are correct, from time to time errors may occur. If we discover an error on the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of either re-ordering the item at the correct price, or cancelling the order. If you choose to cancel, and you have already made a payment for the goods, a refund will be made.

    We have advised our Home Authority Trading Standards department of this error, and they are fully behind our decision not to supply the beds at the incorrect price. It was a genuine mistake, and an obvious error.

    I already received an email stating they cancelled the order due to the' price error', but today I received a letter stating
    "Your credit card company have declined to debit your account".. "Please contact your card company to clarify and phone us to re-order" :rolleyes:

    The funds were definitely there so they are lying.

    Looks like they don't know their @rse from their elbow!

  • I would dispute that it was an "obvious" error because next to the price was a balloon stating "save over £600". Someone had deliberately put that there on the website, it wasn't through human error like misplacing a decimal point or anything.
