  • well, it looks like they are now lying to cover themselves!!

I contacted them on 12th April and got this e-mail on 13th

We are sorry that your order for this item has been delayed.

The order is being sent direct from the manufacturers whom are having problems meeting normal delivery times. They should be in a position to start despatching on 18 April 2009. Please allow an extra 7 days from this date for delivery.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Kind Regards

I then had the order cancelled, only knew because i checked account, so asked them what was happening. They apologised, so i sent another e-mail basically saying that i wasn't happy with the service and got this reply

We are sorry you are not happy with the service you have received from Freemans.

Our records show the incorrect price was discovered after our e-mail was sent to advise of the expected delivery date.

We are sorry you have not received a call regarding the cancellation of your order but the delay is due to the Easter period.

Again we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I feel that this is really shoddy customer service and an obvious lie because people were having orders cancelled well before the 13th, i think the first one was the 7th!!!!!!!

    Bad, bad Freemans!!!

It makes you wonder whether the order would have gone through if you hadn't brought it to their attention because it looks like it was being processed.
You won't ever know now though !

Can't see it really, they were sniping everyone, one by one :D

I dare say that every order made to Silentnight via Freemans would have had to be checked, checked and double checked, or heads will roll :rotfl:
