Grace - I do feel that you have a hidden agenda when posting about children/families. I appreciate that this is an open forum (rightly so) BUT if the boot were on the other foot, and you were expecting etc ,would you be happy to be on the receiving end of some very blunt/negative comments? Especially as your comments do not offer any relevant knowledge.

    Thought not ...............

    Hi All,

Just another quick question. I am wanting to save some money ready for the baby arrival. Can anyone recommend an ISA that wont allow any withdrawls until a certain date?. With regards to a credit search, is one done to open an ISA as my credit score is not that good?

    Thank you

How much do you want to save? And how long for? I was just looking for you and they want to know them two things lol xx

Well most new mothers are busy being mothers to their children!
I wonder how her children will feel when they are older and she is still putting work before being a loving and attentive parent.

For those who believe they are "paying for other people's children" I think you'll find that both my husband and I pay our taxes too!
I don't complain about paying for the care of the elderly who don't have children to look after them, even tho my sister and I will more than likely be responsible for our parents when they can't do it themselves.

I don't expect the state to provide me with money but if they're offering I'd be an idiot not to accept it!

It shouldn't be offered though, everyone should have to pay for themselves.

Ok, i know we all have a freedom of opinions and the like.
But to be fair this isn't a board where you can go on about it. This a Marriage, Relationship and Families board.

If you have such a huge problem with it, go and discuss it in the arms. Where you will find people like you to talk about it with.

As alot of us here clearly dont agree with you.

Keep your opinions to yourself. The OP was asking about what benefits she could get. Not what you think she shouldn't get.

She is right to claim what she is entitle to, as are everyone.
And if you ever get into a situation where you and/or your husband cant work as you've been made redundant or his business went bankrupt. I'd like to see you survive on no money.

    Hi All,

Just found out that I am 7 weeks pregnant, both my partner and I are absolutley over the moon, as we have been trying for 3 years now.

Wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction for information on becoming a parent for the first time.

    Thanks.

    :j

i do not see where the OP asked about benefits?? she was asking about parenting.

You obviously don't have children... I don't think you can accuse a Mother of 'sitting at home doing nothing'!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
