Hi All,
Just found out that I am 7 weeks pregnant, both my partner and I are absolutley over the moon, as we have been trying for 3 years now.
Wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction for information on becoming a parent for the first time.
Thanks.

Opppsss!!!!
Thanks for the reply.
Along the lines of preparation, and entitlements.
Thanks.0 -
Unless you're on benefits your entitlements are very limited... Most benefits are income/means tested though so would depend on your household income... if you earn I think it's more than £35k between you then you are not really entitled to anything... £190 Health in Pregancy Grant which you can apply for at 25 weeks, Something like £25 a week child benefit and of course your maternity pay depending on how much you have earnt (or if lucky and your work has a maternity scheme)...
And as I know you have cats... you are aware that you are not allowed to deal with their litter trays whilst pregnant and after you have handled them you should always wash your hands... (take it you decided not to breed them? if you did then your OH will have to do all the hands on with the kittens... )DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
