I've been using Bio-Oil, Palmers Cocoa Butter and another Cocoa Butter moisteriser. I've been moisterising at least twice a day and so far so good. No stretch marks. My belly button has shallowed a lot this week though so I hopefully I can keep stretch marks at bay with the growing I've got left to do. Fingers Crossed.
No stretch marks for me yet either...I have been using the Bio oil at night time and the Sanctuary mum to be butter in the morning...
Bump has really popped out over the past few weeks too but is mark free up to yet. Felt really tight and stretched last night though and itchy with it too...a bath and then the bio oil seemed to sort it out though

Sami, how are things today?
Can't understand why you think the house is his, I pay for food and he pays bills. Mortgage is the only thing that goes from joint account but we are not married and have no real joint finances, surely your name is on the mortgage!
As for temper, my OH reacts stupidly sometimes. Reminds me of how a kid would deal with their anger. I would perhaps suggest counselling, what do you think?Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I'm using Palmer's Cocoa Butter, again from Wilko as it's cheapest I've found it. I know others have said they found it a bit greasy, but I find it best for my very dry skin from Eczema.
I've got a few bottles of this but for some reason haven't been able to stand the smell of it since I've been expecting...oh the joys of pregnancy!!!

can i ask why / how you get WTC? OH works full time, i wotk PT and we only earn about 20k, even when we earned about 16k we werent entitled to anything, i thought the threshold for WTC was around 15k?there seams to be no rhyme or reason to it as far as I can see, after 2yrs of getting TC's I still understand very little about it:o
It could be something to do with the hours you workI know besides the earnings threshold there is an hours one they are upto 16 hrs, then something like 40 hrs.
In the beginning we lost all the WTC in the "reduction due to earnings" part but OH was on about £25 then so not sure if that's what did it
I think we will lose a bit this year but then it will be canceled out by 2nd child increase as OH got a promotion this year so will be in the next earnings bracket..0 -
Actually I can understand why Sami feels it's his house etc... I'm on the mortgage here, yes OH probably puts a lot more financially into the house (though I pay most of the bills...) but proportionately we probably pay the same amount % wise form our income. We're married and on paper I own half of everything anyway - the reason in my head the house is "his" is that he bought it before I came along... The odd thing is that he doesn't think of it as his in the least bless him... it's ours! If I want to do anything to it I can but I'd never do anything without askign if he liked it too just in case LOL after all he has to live here too
But mentally I still struggle not to think of it as "his" house
I know legally and probably morally it's OUR house but still... when we buy somewhere else together then I'll probably feel more at home with the "our" descriptionDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Sorry to hear about the window Jacksons mum, how awful to wake up to that.
Im off to the Dentists this morning with DD.
Phoned the MW about the mucus thing I had yesterday and she said not to worry unless I had pains or bleeding. She said some people can lose their mucus plug over and over but it will just grow back if the babys not ready.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
As for tax credits... We get sweet FA... *sigh* I know I should be grateful that we both have good incomes but we also both have the debts to go with them... don't get me wrong - we're reducing them drastically every month but it does sometimes get to me when I have paid a tonne of taxes each month for my entire working life (since I was 17 so 12+ years now) and I get £190 one off and then some daft small amount every week and people who don't work get £500 plus a month easy... that does really upset me! If I got £500+ a month I could afford to stay home too but DH earns too much so we won't get that and that means despite on paper earning more then I can't afford to stay home with my children but people who don't work or earn a lot less than what we have worked very hard for get paid to stay home with their babies...
Not aimed at anyone btw... just feel like it's very unfair sometimes that because we've worked very hard at building our careers up then we're not entitled to anything

As for temper, my OH reacts stupidly sometimes. Reminds me of how a kid would deal with their anger. I would perhaps suggest counselling, what do you think?
My name isn't on the mortgage I don't think, when he first bought the house I signed a thing to say I had no claim on it but that only covered the 1st year, I haven't signed anything like that since as I got preg during that 1st year and we also got engaged. I know legally the house is prob half mine now but he always says in arguments "this is my house I'm going nowhere" after I usually have said f-off and get out of my sight!
I now don't pay for anything as I have no income, We have a joint account but he pays all the bills from his account, the CTC, WTC and CB gets paid into the joint plus he has a SO of £50 a week going in there and that's the account I use to get the shopping etc. from.
I looked into councelling a while back and it looked like we would have to fund it ourselves and we couldn't afford to without a lot of budgeting plus OH works away at random times which would interfere with some of the programs that require going at a set time every week, I will bring it up again and try to get him to ask GP if there is something available on NHS0 -
MrsT - I know where you are coming from - was looking at March's wage slip last night and I have paid over £3000 in tax alone! I hate working Overtime as it works out I get paid £8 an hour after deductions rather than £13!
Plus point is my pension - I have paid in £1,300 and employer has topped it up to £5K for last tax year!!
OH and I split everything straight down the middle - I supported him through uni whilst I was earning about £18K but since he got a job everything is 50/50. It works for us - we both put an equal amount in the deposit for house and pay half the mortgage each so no his house my house. He likes to think the TV is his but we paid half so it's mine too
The only problem we have is OH hates using his bank account so all bills come out of mine and if he wants beer or anything I buy it and he pays me back at the end of the month with the bills. It actually means I end up saving money - if I buy him buy at £20 that's £20 I can't spend and when I get it back it goes straight in savings!
OH as more 'possessions' than me and is a bit of a horder - I tell him it's fine that he has more than me because it's more for him to pack up when we move house!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0
