Im off to the Dentists this morning with DD.

Phoned the MW about the mucus thing I had yesterday and she said not to worry unless I had pains or bleeding. She said some people can lose their mucus plug over and over but it will just grow back if the babys not ready. :eek:

in my last pregnancyy i found flat diet coke with lemon worked really well.

thats interesting about the mucus plug Mrs Moc, you really do learn something new everyday on this thread!

does anyone know anything about freecycle ettiquette, ive just replied to a post offering a moses basket, i just put that i would be really gratefull for it and could collect any time, its the first time ive used freecycle, did i need to put anything else?

Aww Sami - have a hug from me too... I logged off early last night as I was knackered. Was in bed by 10 but still feel knackered as keep waking up in pain and needing wee's... Although needing LESS widdles at the moment so maybe Roo has engaged? Well... we'll see what MW says this afternoon at 3 I guess... I'm hoping that the fact no-one has called me about my GTT that it means it's fine and I don't have to attend the Diabetes clinic (pls pls pls pls)

I was just going to skim the pages from yesterday but saw about your OH Sami so had to try and catch up on the story...
The smacking doesn't worry me too much - we're both in "favour" of smacking (not liberally! but as a last resort! That was how my parents brought me up and it didn't do me any harm. I remember about 3 smacks in my young life and I can tell you all 3 were deserved OHs mum on the other hand was a bit too liberal and it has given us something to aim for NOT becoming...) but only when deserved...
I take it your OH hasn't decided to talk to you about what set him off yesterday yet? I think one way or another he needs to get some professional help to manage his anger outbursts - the calming CDs are not good enough I'm afraid... If he looses his temper again and throws stuff and hits you or either of the kids then he's looking at a domestic violence charge if you report it... that is serious!

After a sleepless night I have woken to find I'm still bleeding with clots aswell (sorry if TMI) but there is still no pain or cramping. I have rung the doctors & asked them to bring my appointment forward to 10.30am & my OH is coming with me so that we can push for a referal to EPAU. Thank you to everyone who has given me support, as I would never have had the courage to this without your advice.

Leopardlady I'm so sorry for your loss - I have PM'd you.

Sami I really feel for you, I know more than I would like to admit about being in that kind of situation. I will PM you when I have got my doctors appointment out of the way.

Just two things from catching up on last nights posts:

I think different areas might be different when testing for STI's at Smear Tests, as at my last one she specifically mentioned that they do not test for STI's and if I was concerned then to visit the GUM clinic. I wasn't concerned as had been to the clinic previously when first met OH and we both found we had chlamydia and neither had any symtoms!

With regard to Bio-Oil, I have been using the one mentioned from Savers called Rescue Oil, which was £1.99 a bottle, gone through 4 bottles so far so have saved quite a bit instead of paying £8 a bottle. I have tried samples of Bio-Oil though that came free with magazines and bounty packs and I really prefer the Rescue Oil.
