  • Hiya AM, I figured you might recognise my name from the Arms!

Okay folks, this is probably not the right thread to post but I'll take any assistance ... what are the chances of entitlement to WTC (and FTC when the bean arrives)? I'm out of work at the moment, and contrib-JSA would run out in September, about when I could start claiming MA thank goodness. OH earns about £13K. Reckon we've got a chance?

Hi you will definately be entitled to at leat the minimum when bubs arrives which is approx £80.00 a month for the under 1 year old element however as tax credits works on income for the whole tax year (and I am not sure whether they include JSA as income) you may not be entitled to any more than that until the new tax year. That was what happened to me with DS2. Although OH only earned £14k I could only claim the minimum until the new tax year too.

I would put your figures into the entitled to website and see what that comes up with as I have always found that site to be fairly accurate.

Is that definately true. If so, I should be Ok. I think I had a smear test about 2 years ago. Think I'll still go the the GUM Clinic just to be sure though.

Yes as I am ashamed to say that is how I found out I had it.

I watched a programme the other night and the test was a swab. It was not a pleasant swab for the man I can tell you but he's gonna do it with me so I don't have to do it by myself.

My OH just went to his GP after I found out I had it and they didnt bother testing him just gave him the medication. He was very glad as the test looks very painful for a man!!

morning all, my day has got off to a bad start already! someone smashed my car window last night, probably my own fault as i left the sat nav holder in the window, thought it would be ok as we live in a nice quiet area but obviously not! ah well, lesson learnt, all they got was the charger for the sat nav and now ive got to replace the window and wash 2 baby carseats.

on the up side, the past couple of days ive felt little tiny baby kicks and OH can feel them too (im 17 weeks) ive tried getting Jackson to feel but he's too impatient and wont keep his hands there for more than 2 seconds.

Morning all, I hope you are all well, please can you put me back on the ttc, as it seems this time was not meant to be. Thanks and hugs to nickabella, i hope you are not going to join me over there.

As far as I can gather, you should be entitled to CTC when baby arrives and, sorry to ask, but how old are you and OH? :D. WTC is only payable to those over 25 I think! Have a little play with entitledto.com.

Thank you for the help (and everyone else), I'm currently fighting the HMRC's calculator but I think I'll try Entitledto later on ....

For the record, I'm a "mature" mum - I'll be 40 by the time the bean shows him/herself!
