anaerobes are basically organisms that don't require oxygen to exist (or could even be killed on exposure to oxygen)... the range is HUGE so it's very hard to say really... I THINK thrush is anaerobic but I could be wrong... ofcourse you wouldn't get antibiotics for Thrush though...

did a bit more digging and basically found the most common vaginal anaerobe and details about it

So long and short I think is that it's basically when the natural bacteria in your foof goes out of balance and an infection occurs as a result because the naughty bacteria are out of control Thinking about it there is every chance yours truely might have this as my thrush just keeps coming back again and again grrrr Will mention to midwife this afternoon I think
