No, but they do get their monthly feeds (CAIS) so this tells them whether you're a high risk etc....2010 - year of the troll

I applied on Monday, got told I'd hear in 7 - 10 days, heard nothing yet. Not even a credit check done yet as of this morning. Well, I got the credit agreement email but thats just automated.
Is this normal?0 -

Hello - new to this thread. Just applied and been accpeted for a Vanquis card. Limit £250, APR 59.9. It's the worst rate but I'm happy to be back on the grid as I went BR in 2007. I have a NEXT account with a limit of £2000 (Increased very quickly from £250 in about 6 months but I pay in full every month). Fingers crossed Vanquis will also help my credit rating...it's a very hard, long slog!BCSC Member 70:j

Well done, you're on the right road. Just do yourself a massive favour; use the card but pay the balance off each month. The limit will increase over time, don't be tempted to keep a balance on there, just pay it off each month otherwise the interest will cripple you.never eat yellow snow0 -

Agreed! I have no intention of leaving a balance at that rate!Am planning to use it for all spending but pay off in full every month.

Ok i recently got a vanquis card, have paid the balance in full every month, last month i paid my balance at the time i received the statement instead of the balance on my statement meaning i actually paid more than i need to but it put my balance back to 0.00. Received this months statement yesterday and have been charged £2.64 purchase interest - why? I don't understand.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

Applied for a Vanquis card today and got the 7-10 day message
fingers crossed as my credit rating took a battering with the payday loan hell (all my own doing)
I'm hoping to pay off what i owe on the remaining loans within 3 months so i'd like a fresh start with my credit file0 -

I got the same purchase interest thing on my statement and I pay off the balance in full via DD. Am about to tackle them about it.

Is there still no way to access your Vanquis statement online?
