Niddy - 16 months in, limit still £500...... fcuk em, I knew I should have sent the card back last month when I threatened to

You can't even use it to put behind the bar on a good weekend can you, what with a measly £500 limit!! Tight !!!!!!, they can shove their account.... (but only when it suits me, maybe they are skint thus the lower limits) :o

They're just portioning out their money to customers most likely to incur interest.

And what do you think the chances of old NID incurring interest on a Vanquis card? Exactly.

Yea I s'pose what you're saying makes sense mate but I did once leave £10 outstanding so they maybe got about £1 interest from me in those 16 months!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • To all those who think having a Vanquis card is agood thing...all I can say is GOOD LUCK. They are the biggest sharks around.
I claimed £84 in charges from Vanquis. Today, 14 days after claiming, I received a letter offereing me a full refund....but...it doesn't include interest. Obviously, at an average of 45%, this is a lot of money to me.
And.... obtain full and final, they have given me two options.....

    1) Close my account and repay at my current rate - 41.2%pur. and 47.89 cash (which is most of it!) or....
    2) Keep my account, have it fee free, but pay £25 a year!! and, best of all my interest rates will be 54.9 and 59%!!! That, in my opinion is criminal.

Now I don't need my Vanquis card - I got a brilliant Coop simple account with a Visa debit card - no overdraft. I also have a Cap 1 card. (I was desparate 2 years ago and owe £500) at high but still much lower interest than Vanquis.

I will probably take the money, sign a full and final then write a letter to the CEO telling hime to stick his Vanquis card up his a%*e! Childish but satisfying.
