You'll get your first statement around two to three weeks after you received the card.

The due date will be printed on the statement. The payment should leave your bank account three working days before the due date at the very latest to ensure it reaches your Vanquis account on time.

If you can't afford to pay the statement in full (or don't want to), it's best to pay what you can sooner rather than later as interest is calculated daily. If you pay less than the minimum very close to the due date you'll get charged more interest the following month than if you paid what you could as soon as the bill lands :o

Good luck! And welcome to the credit ladder ;)

    Why do you ask?

Because I have recently applied for one and expect they will be ringing me shortly (at least that I hope).

    Thank you! :j

Just want to make sure that if they ring when I'm out I will know it is them.
  • thanks Izools, just need to be prepared last thing i need is to be making a mess of running the card, the plan is to be sensible and pay off the card in full each month, at the moment ive no plan to be using the credit available to make extra purchases, just use the card as i would my debit card. taking avantage of the interst free period to let me leave cash in my bank acount so im using less of my overdraft and incuring lower interest charges there.

None of that answers the question. Why have you got sub-prime credit cards such as Vanquis when you are (allegedly) on £60k per year? :rotfl: Also, you're on your 13th statement and they're keeping you down on a £500 limit? :rotfl: Yeah right, like that's gonna be true when you've got £5k a month coming into your account. :rotfl:

I had no credit and applied to Vanquis. I've been the victim of ID Fraud. Therefore I got Vanquis as my first card, then citi gold then BOI Gold then HSBC. I never use the cards. I do not have to!

They work in mysterious ways and the fact my salary is high probably answers why they won't increase it - the fact I have 2 cifas entries against me (i.e. CAIS update) plus I do not need it. I got the cifas for applying to HBOS 200 times in a week to p!ss them off - it worked. However i'm not bothered either way, you'll see me apply for stuff to help other people out - i'm not bothered in the slightest and that's the difference here... you evidently are!

I actually have over £11k a month in my account, but thanks for your concern :rotfl: :rotfl:

Furthermore, you claim to work as a fraud investigator for your £60k but yet it was not that long ago that you were asking basic questions about how CIFAS markers worked. :rotfl:

No - I do not claim anything. CIFAS has nothing to do with high level internal corporate fraud and I think you'll find i'm the one that started the threads about cifas/n hunter etc - you're thinking of someone else, clearly!

Your story has got more holes in it than a collinder. It's more likely you're a bankrupt with a basic account and some minimum wage job, imho.

Of course - !!!!!!, you sussed me!

    More stories! :rotfl:

You claim to work in corporate fraud prevention but yet you can't even keep your own ID safe. Glad you're not representing my company. What a shambles.

Anyway you carry on with your ficticious life of £132k per year, oh and your £500 credit card limit. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

May I remind all this is not a TROLLING thread! I for one find the information on here quite informative however other users will be deterred from reading & posting if the are caught in the crossfire of this argument.

Many thanks to the other users for all of your informative posts! :D

It looks like a "yellow card" rather than a gold card!
