Yes I did, when I got the 1,500 limit.
Ironically even though Vanquis has the highest APR of all my cards I want to keep it because its the best-looking one, being a gold card.

I know it's sad and all but I really want the gold card! My limit is stuck at £1250 and I want an increase to push me through the £1500 level to trigger a new card.

Have you ever missed a payment/been late paying?
Do you pay your balance in full?
I used to max out the card a lot and pay more than the minimum payment, although I paid them a huge amount in interest.

Had the card since April 08 and I have never missed a payment, been late or exceeded my limit. I started at £250 -> £500 -> £1250. I am carrying a balance now as I had a large car repair bill a few months back but I am chucking £100 a month at it to lower the it.

What did you have on your credit reports when you first applied? I just had several defaults.
Sorry I meant to say the only adverse I had was several defaults.
I had settled accounts and a well-run Capital One account which I had for 2 years.

I had one default but I wasn't on the electoral roll and had limited/no credit history

Strange, your credit report doesn't sound too bad. When did you apply? Maybe they tightened up their criteria. I applied in November 2007.

What was your income at the time, if you don't mind me asking? Mine was around 9k. My Capital One limit was 1,400.
