You can't be frugal in Costco. It makes you ill ! :)
You are so right. Which is why I have delayed my visit until next week when I will have a bit more money :)
I know its sad, but I am really excited. I first discovered Costco when I lived in California. And when we came back to GB and discovered our first one over here we walked in, breathed in, and said "ohh, that lovely Costco smell!". You just don't get it anywhere else.
My only gripe - cinammon buns. The US ones are fantastic and you can't get them here. I keep telling 'em, but to no avail :p

We have been to the Costco in Orlando, Florida a couple of times over the last ten years. It really is home from home!

The only thing is some of the furniture and garden stuff is so fab, but there would be no way of getting it home!

I'm quite sure i've read somewhere, ( and it may be way back in this thread,) that Costco will ship to a Costco near you.

Costco do sell tubs of cinnamon bites (mini buns) ~£3-4 in the cereal aisle but they are not made instore. Also there are cinnamon raisin bagels (12 for £2.99) and the icing covered Danishes have a strong cinnamon taste but the icing is mega sweet on the teeth.

Fortunately/Unfortunately (depending on the size of your bottom and your will power) these are nothing like the lushness of the US fresh cinnamon buns. HEAVENLY. (Sorry. I've been low carbing. I think despite really loving bread, these are the one thing I could break my diet for. Arghhhhh....off to dream about them now....drrooooolll still.)

    Kirkland Washing Powder
Ive been using Kirkland washing powder for a while and generally been happy. Over recent months I've managed to bleach a few clothes (patches) during a wash cycle. Now I dont know if this is me overloading machine or what but was wondering if anyone else has had any problems. Just to say as yet I'm still unsure hence asking question.

No. But I've only used Kirkland for about 10 washes (or the wife has... ;))

Haven't had any problems - but we hardly use any of the powder, and do a tiny top up with Persil - as has been advised earlier in this thread.. to avoid too much of a disinfectant smell.

    Hi,

I have recently been told by my work that I get a discount on costo membership, they say I can have 2 cards for £25.00, do you think that a good deal. How much is normal membership? Is membership worth the the fee?:)

    Thanks, naomi

I think normal membership is £25 and you get a spouse card free anyway.

I only use Kirkland powder for my 'dark' washes (not whites as I don't think it makes them white enough - 2 teenage boys and white school shirts ;)) but I've not noticed any bleaching at all. Believe me I do stuff the washing in (have to be reminded to leave room for the water sometimes :D)
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
