If I was 20 and offered the chance to go to spain as you have then I wouls say stuff it and go. 15 years ago I gave up everything and moved abroad and I loved it in fact I would probably still be there if my ex wasn't playing with the girls in the bars. the thing is chances like this don't come along very often take what you can from life while you can and good luck if do goWow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

What's going wrong?
Take a deep breath and remind yourself of the following
You are young.
Have no responsibilities.
Have no ties.
No friends (I don't mean that in a nasty way, just what you have said in your posts).
Have the opportunity of working abroad in one of a number of places - meeting new people/making new friends/experiencing different cultures/trying new things.
Do you think if you looked back in a few years you would prefer to think, 'well I stayed in my boring dead end job and didn't do much', or, 'I lived abroad, met interesting people, learnt new skills, did new things, LIVED life!!!!!!!!!!
I think you know the answer!
Of course things will go wrong, when does anything go right in life! Even if you go and things don't work out in the first place, then try again somewhere else.
I see so many people who say (to more adventurous people), 'I wish I had done that/been there/seen that/experienced that.'
Just do it, Life is for living. OK play it safe when you have a partner and family and responsibilities, but not when you are young and have none of these
Take care

You're scared...and that's ok. You need to look at what you have to gain by staying and what you have to lose by trying something new. I have read through this thread and from what you have posted you are not happy working where you do. Don't hold any false loyalty to them. I worked for the same govt dept for 23 years. Thought i did i pretty good job yet was able to disappear without a trace. Only you know what's best for you but don't regret what you didn't do........just what you did.
Lots of luck in whatever you decide to do xx0 -
No but I've stuffed it all up. Ex has taken the rest of my clothes to charity shop
I've stuffed things up at the flat as they'd given me money to pay council tax which got swallowed by bank so two months later I am only getting round to pay it and I've been a twit and I am not responsible enough to look after children.Money money money.

Abby, you'll be fine. I've made a million mistakes with money and no one has taken my son off me (yet).
My friends are worse than I am and they are nannies and teachers etc etc:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Make sure you leave your old job on good terms (despite all your previous hassles with them) just in case things dont work out. Tell your boss and workmates how fond of them you are (!) and keep the door open - just in case.
Then get on that plane and go. Forget the ex - I see you have another thread elsewhere about it but I would just move on. Get on the plane and see where the wind takes you. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Abby, when my son was 19 he had a good well-paid job with good prospects, then one day he came home and said he was bored with it and was going to be a holiday rep! After I picked my chin up off the floor I told him to go for it. He was young, no responsibilities and free to do whatever he liked, when I was his age I had just given birth to him.
He never managed to learn a new language because each season he was in a different country but he learnt a little bit of a few languages. He had fun, made lots of new friends and never regretted it for one minute. He only did it for 2 years (which was his plan) and has now come back to the UK and is settled in a new job that's completely different to what he was doing before.
Forget about any little niggly doubts and just go for it, if it doesn't work out you can always come back! Trust me, if you don't do it in 20 years time you'll be thinking "what if". Get your bags packed!Dum Spiro Spero0
