Dont think thats right Ebay. Ive sold loads on ebay and never heard that you have to wait for feedback before they release money. Some buyers dont leave feedback. Email them and ask whats happening with your money. Unless the buyers are newbies and waiting for their paypal accounts to be verified.

paypal under certain circumstances withold access to payment for 21 days or until positive feedback (read the ebay forum, there are loads of threads on this). However, folk have also said that even after positive feedback, they have experienced delays of up to a week for funds to be released. Some have also said, however that contacting paypal in these circumstances can nudge them into action

Abby- some words of encouragement: when I was 21 and fresh out of Uni I moved to Germany with my boyfriend, even though I could only say 2 sentences, neither of which was very useful. I stayed there for nearly 9 years and for the most part I was very happy. Last year I was in a job that sounded very similar to yours as well!!! I quit it just before Christmas - the boss was working from home the day I resigned, which as I was working there through an agency was my last working day and offered to fire the colleague who was bullying me if I'd stay. I haven't looked back.

You're young and I hope you'll stay strong enough not to listen to those around you trying to put you down. Do turn around to them and say "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I won't lie and say it will all be plain sailing once you get to Paris- be prepared for some severe homesickness. Make sure you don't just hang out with the English lot but get out and meet Parisians and people of other nationalities.

I was told by someone on here that if you refund 1p to the buyer, it allows the funds to be released to you. I've never tried it myself so don't know if it works or not.

I'd echo the point about being prepared for a spell of severe homesickness - you may be lucky and it may not happen to you. But being forewarned is forearmed - the most likely time perhaps for it to happen will be a month or two into your stay - after its stopped all feeling like a novelty/holiday and before you've fully settled in. But - its just a phase and will pass.

Hope your money gets sorted out soon.

Dont forget that European Health Card thingie - to make sure you're covered for any health care you need under the reciprocal arrangements they will have with the British Government.!!

We'll still be here if you're in Paris and homesick......
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

The thing is that I have a good job in sales. If its just this darn town and job well I could easily find a better paying one back in London. I also have no friends here but I do in London. Maybe emigrating to london is the answer!
I just need to stop being skatty and choose a place
