Hi, I got the answer by figuring out the code - partially. But what am I doing wrong with the last part of the clue? And which two letters are missing? 'Quick Brown Fox' doesn't fit the same as the rest as fox has three letters - the answer it seems has four.

'Quick brown fox' includes punctuation so the first and last clocks aren't in the phrase.

thanks all for contributing to this lively thread. My only qualm with anyone hoping to cash in on this if they win is that many people plan to sell it on ebay. The value of £100k+ will be from a proper auction house (Sotherbys, Christies etc), and it's really easy to sell there. You'd be lucky to get half of that on ebay.

I had a weird dream last night..I think this quiz is conditioning me.... changing the way my mind works..

From what my spirit animal told me last night (i'm kidding), the moaning and trolling, even if the cause is clearly lost, is necessary & beneficial to the 'moaners', because it creates doubt.
Doubt is necessary in competition, because it creates worry and uncertainty - requirements for making mistakes and relinquishing power.
People like the 'moaners' border on sociopathic in their unrelenting pursuit to gain the prize/power.

If you moan long enough, even if the group in question are actually doing brilliantly, and making positive actions to help everybody. It's like a chilld with his fingers in their ears refusing to listen to others. - Eventually, you will just say 'sod this' and give up, and they win. There is only so much tollerance one person can have.

If you poke and prod enough, you will get what you want, and it's usually greed.

Various living/fictional examples I can give are:
    1) The 'moaners' on this forum thread
    2) David Cameron & his Tory money-bulllies
    3) Daniel Plainview - From the Movie 'There Will be Blood'
    4) The Music Industry
    5) Montgomery Burns
    6) Ebenezer Scrooge
    7) America
    8) Corporate Shareholders
    9) Jews....(I'm kidding!!!!! Please!! Omg! C'mon I love Woody Allen & Bagels)

I'd like it if someone, one person, understood..But i'm soooo setting myself up for another 'cos I can' Troll reply...

Let's keep posting those answers for everyone!!! Sincerely, thanks to all of you.

Not sure what you're getting at there OingoBoingo but you seem to be moaning about moaning, which is a very slippery slope! The Force is strong in you, don't let yourself be drawn into The Dark Side!!!

As an ex-moaner I think I have an insight into the mindset and it's nothing to do with spreading doubt. It's just about "fairness".

For example, someone visits asking for the answer about 2 messages after the answer has been left. I don't think they're ever going to be touched by doubt as they're obviously oblivious to what is going on here. They're just picking up the answer and leaving. If even finding the answer when it's already been posted is beyond them I'm not anticipating much chance of having a fruitful discussion about anything, even the weather!

The perceived "fairness" argument has been mulled over enough and I think agreeing to disagree suffices there.

As for those who can't even understand simple rules, no comment!

I have a terrible confession to make.

I’m not really an art teacher at all. I’m an unemployed milkmaid (Repetitive Strain Injury) with delusions of grandeur.
I read an article on the Young British Artists in a magazine I found in the woods. Then I took a pottery evening class, swapped my identity with a tutor I found hanging in the toilets one night and the whole thing just got out of hand.
I think Edward Munch is a restaurant chain and Art Nouveau is a New Romantic band from 1982.
The only art critic that ever made sense to me was Arthur Negus. And he’s dead.
I just came here to make friends and now look what’s happened.
Everyone takes themselves so seriously. Even me. It’s just a game.
I hope you enjoy the painting.

I can’t write any more. I’m too busy giggling ;)xx

That doesn't work :( Quick Brwon Fox actually reads 'Kwuick Brown Foks' - there's no punctuation. Can anyone explain that?

I'm actually enjoying the quiz part of all this :)

I was talking to a lifetime (in her early 60's) art teacher the other day and she didn't know what Chiaroscuro was, she also only dates very young men even though she looks very much like she has been dipped in Formaldehyde
I now think all art teachers are aliens or wendigos who go to pottery class :D:D

Anyway thanks everyone for the answers, love the community spirit on here
