Only thing I noticed though is that Lightspeed didnt ask me what email address I wanted the £10 paypal reward sending to, luckily my Lightspeed registered email was the same as my Paypal email.
My email with paypal wasnt the same as lightspeed, but after they sent the link to the LS reg addy,I was able to add it to my paypal account and have the money transferred.
Now my next question is-so far I have used my paypal acct only for buying on ebay/other sites, only income has been from lightspeed for which I dint pay any fee.So if I plan to sell anything on ebay and I have to accept paypal, would I be charged even if I dont want to transfer it to bank account? And after that, wud I be charged for lightspeed payments also?Sorry for the OT questions.TIA.0 -
If you want to sell, and have a Paypal Personal account, you wont get charged, but with that account you cant accept people paying by credit/debit card...they either have to have a current balance in their paypal account enough to cover your item, or pay with a Paypal e-cheque that can take a couple of weeks to clear0

Following emails to Anne Heddes which disputed the identity of 'Lauren', both myself and my OH have today received almost identical emails from 'Lauren'. Strange co-incidence!

Dear <name>
In answer to your query about your order number 80719-145882-77609 for a <amount> <storename> gift voucher ordered on 28/11/06.
I have been in touch with our incentive partner and they told me that they dispatched the gift to <name> <address> <postcode> on 05.12.06
Calicado is checking the delivery and if the mail has been returned they will organize a resend.
Regards
Lauren
I would have thought that if it was despatched on 5th December we might have received it by now. Mine was the same email, but the despatch date was 19th December.
So......Royal Mail loses BOTH of these vouchers and everyone else here as well?
Everyone.....get emailing Anne Hedde and demand a personal reply from Lauren - see what date she comes up with! :rolleyes:0 -

I hope the rest of you get a satisfactory resolution to your problems.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -

carol_a was saying she sold something at eBay and wasn't charged to receive the money from her buyer. I was saying she probably has a personal account and was paid from existing funds and that's why she didn't get charged.
Well I'm going to confuse it even more. I didn't sell anything through E bay, it was some knitting wool through a knitting chat forum to a lady in USA. The easiest way for her to pay me was through Paypal. I had a personal account but had to upgrade it to accept the money. I was then charged to transfer it into my bank account as everyone rightly says. So would I have been better to just spend the money from Paypal on E bay purchases or else wait until it reached £50?0 -
Finally had my reward code this morning, after ordering it on 30th October. It's an old Ovation Incentives code, not one of the new ones, so I expect I'll be kept waiting months for my voucher now.0

I have just claimed some of my points via paypal. I think if you accept payment from outside the UK they charge to convert to £'s don't they?
That would probably happen with any bank.0 -

its only 25p to transfer into your bank if funds are under £50....not really that much to worry about if only doing it one off....
depends on the amount you actually transferred...if it was a very small amount, and whether you would be expecting further payments to bring it over the £50 mark0 -
Did anyone receive the 50 bonus points detailed in the email sent just before Christmas?
I received an email about their new rewards system which stated "To thank you for your ongoing participation and to wish you a happy festive season, we have credited your account with 50 Lightspeed Points." However, I've just logged in and I can't see any bonus points. Is it worth contacting 'Lauren' and waiting another few weeks for a reply? :rolleyes:Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0
