Highlights of an email I got last night:

    >> You will keep all your current points. Their value does not change and you will be able to redeem them for the same choice of rewards that you have today.

    >> As a member of the MySurvey panel, you will be invited to participate in surveys as you are today as a member of the Lightspeed panel. You keep all your membership benefits as both panels are providing their members with equally valuable benefits.

    >> Your personal data are protected at the same security level on MySurvey UK as they used to be on the Lightspeed panel side. Both panels are managed by the same company, Lightspeed Research.

    >> In case you already have an account at MySurvey UK, your two accounts will be joined together. Of course all the points you have earned so far on the Lightspeed account will be transferred to your MySurvey account. The value of your points will stay the same and you can choose from the same shops and vouchers when you want to exchange your points.

    >> Lauren, the Lightspeed UK panel manager, will be working with Emma Morrison, the MySurvey UK panel manager. Emma will contact you in case she has any questions regarding the transfer of your account. Moving forward, Emma Morrison will be your contact for the panel.

    >> On the day of the transfer (week-end of 20th November), it may happen that you can not access your account. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the upgrade of your account. We will email you as soon as your account has been activated.

I'm about a survey or two away from having £50 in vouchers on Lightspeed. I'm probably going to cash out just in case the value drops to the mysurvey levels once they merge.

That paragraph about the infamous 'Lauren' makes me laugh!
    Does she even exist?

hi, i did do this a year or so back and i found it slowed my pc down and also i got a virus (not 100% sure from this tho) others have said there's was fine so its upto to you if you try or not. HTH

I had it installed, didn't have any problems with the software but never received the points for installing it or the monthly points for using it-had several mails saying points are being uploaded "this week" (week after week!) and then this week one saying that the installation points had been credited to all the accounts and they were working on the monthly ones - I have now unistalled it as it is pretty obvious I'm never going to get the points, I just keep getting fobbed off.
  • Resigned from this, based on reward/timespent it's simply no longer worth the effort.

From Oct 1st to today I've had 1610 points, so it is worth it to me.
Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

I haven't heard from Lightspeed in ages, yet I was getting at least a couple of surveys to do a week up until about 3 months ago, so I don't know what's happening with them.
Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!
  • I also really like Lightspeed. Only joined about a month ago but onto my second £10.00. I usually do not get a chance to do all the surveys as there are so many. Also have had a product to test. Seems to suit my age group - very late 40s 3 kids 2 under 5 and one 11.

You are lucky - takes me 4-6 weeks to get to 345 points to qualify for £3 Paypal.

Like Stumpypumpy you must have a good profile to get so much so quickly.
    Well done.

It might be my profile, or it might be that we have a Media Centre PC which is always on: meaning I can respond to the email saying there are new surveys very quickly (TV is so rubbish these days that I prefer doing the surveys :p) so I rarely get screened out because of "full" surveys. I also keep up-to-date with the quick matches and mini-surveys. I am actually surprised that I don't get screened out more as I generally hate adverts and never pull any punches when asked about them. I never try and "tweak" my answers to make me a better candidate for them either. The only surveys I get screened out of consistently is the ones for cars. I think that is because I bought my car 8 years ago and don't plan on replacing it
Of course, saying all this will be the kiss of death for me. I bet I won't qualify for another survey this side of Xmas.
