Snoozer - hugs and be kind to yourself. A fall really shakes you up.
Beth - do hope things work out for you.
I've taken little bear out for a walk on his reins (which are the most marvellous invention) and he seems full of the joys of spring. I am on the floor.
About to change over washing and lunch up little bear - I think tinned pasta shapes and sausages - not brilliant but there are worse things out there.

Morning all,
Late start at Mean Mansions this morning...DGS ate his cereal in the car on the way to school and we were still 25 mins late!
Not doing much productive to-day, going to Discount Outlet place for lunch with best friend....tempted to just stick money for lunch in my pocket in case I lose the run of myself and spend money....have got to the stage now that I find it very difficult to spend the few euro I allow myself every week! Cooked meat loaf yesterday while doing roast beef to use up oven heat efficiently so that is main part of to-day's dinner so no panic for OH while I am gone.
Lovely day here to-day, think that we are to have rain to-morrow so intend to make the most of it....maybe we could eat outside this evening, pretend that it is summer in case it is....IYKWIM!
Congratulations Stefejb.....
N9eav....hope that soreness goes away soon
csarina....take it easy with all that moving
Haribo :hello: not sure how anyone could have found you confrontational....honest maybe? Haven't seen post referred to.....
TiredMum....go easy on yourself to-day
This is where the Alzeimers kicks in, so hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating

Afternoon all.
Have been reading yesterdays thread, after the time I logged off. Tired Mum I’m sorry I wasn’t around to offer support, but I’m so glad DS arrived home in one piece.
Happy Birthday Master N9eav.:bdaycake:
A (very gentle) kick up the bottom for Crazychik, as requested.:D
((((HockeyDuo)))) it must be awful for your OH to lose colleagues like that – I sort of know, as I used to be engaged to a soldier many years ago, and he lost friends on active duty. It really does make you feel sick in the pit of your stomach, doesn’t it?
Katie take it very steady if you venture into town; you don’t want to make yourself bad again.
Sybil please stop worrying about having given LB Medised in the past – you were going with what was advised at the time, you did NOT do anything wrong.
Snoozer fingers crossed that your dad’s appointment goes well, and that your dog perks up, also. Just seen your 2nd post – hoping you aren’t too banged about, and feel better soon. Welcome to the Base Over Apex Club!
((((HUGS)))) to anyone else who needs/wants one today.
So much talk about egg & chips on here today - that's what we had for dins last night! Mr LW cooked it while I was seeing to the BM.
Not sure what we'll have tonight, as there's hardly any cheese left, and I'm hurting all over today, despite the morphine, so don't feel like doing anything complicated. Possibly I'll get a couple of slices of nut loaf out of the freezer.
Mr LW has to get up as silly o'clock tomorrow:eek: which of course means I'll have to, as well:eek::eek:
We have tickets for the opera tomorrow night, so he needs to leave w*rk early, so he's got to go in an hour and a half early to make up his hours.
I really ought to be getting on with something, but I just can't seem to get going. Might try for a bit of cross stitch - at least I can do that on the sofa, and stop at any time.:rolleyes:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Read most of the thread. Hugs to everyone who needs
Isn't it a gorgeous day today? I cycle to work every day, and am finally getting the weather for it! beautiful. Would love to go home and sit outside.
Made my first attempt at granary bread last night, only i used the french bread setting, so it came out like rock bread! I came on here and looked at the complete BM collection and looked around until it prompted my brain to reaalise what I had done! Silly moo. Im still eating the bread though :rotfl: waste not want not!
Home made carcass soup today. Was last nights dinner, but wasn;t too hungry so just had a bit of rock bread. Not like me! Dinner will be chicken casserole from the freezer providing it has defrosted ok. I took it out late last night. Seems to take over a day to defrost when left in the fridge, and im that worried about poisoning myself!
I have some sour cream in the fridge i bought thinking i would use it , but think it is out soon so will have to put in freezer
Also brought a slice of HM carrot cake in to work as a treat. That's the thing about baking, you have to eat it too!
I have a pruhealth fitness test in a few weeks so need to lose a couple of pounds to up my vitality rewards and levels, but i just have no motivation. When i go home, i just go to bed for rest (I have fibromyalgia). I have already cycled to work and home, and sorted food so by this time i am wrecked! Still need to motivate myself to go out walking at least. All benefits me in the long run. Bright nights are perfect for walking too so I have no excuse really.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Morning OS friends,
N9eav - hope the moles stop aching so much soon.
Stef - well done on the job, that is great news
Pen-pin - Well done to your OH, I passed mine about 8 yrs ago - the next exam is harder but still fun.
Tiredmum - so glad that your dear son came home safe and sorry I wasn't here to post and be supportive.
nic1lou1 - thanks for missing me *hugs*
Hockey - when I saw the news last night I couldn't help but think of you and am so glad your husband wasn't on that flight. It's so sad.
csarina - glad the move went well but sorry you have such a lot of work to do.
Reverbe - *hugs*
Snoozer - take it easy for the rest of the day, a fall really makes you feel wobbly for ages I always think
SunnyGirl - I am so pleased the young man is doing so well with you, you are doing a great job.
Sun is shining so maybe I will get to go out in the garden today. I feel really tired and dispirited today.
BM is on and washing on the line and we are having sausage and mash and beans for dinner.
Warm gentle hugs to everyone who might need one today.

Hi guys.
I decided on Monday that I had no wish to spend the next 2 weeks cleaning the house every night after chaos, mayhem and trouble have gone to bed so have been scouring the net for a break and................Yipeee!! we are all off to Cornwall on Saturday. The kids don't know and won't until Sat. morning when I wake them up an hour before we leave. It's over 9 hrs to get there by train (no way am I doing that on a bus with kids) so I have been shopping for goodies, mags and colouring stuff and also bought a family and friends card from BR which saves a huge amount on the fares.
I haven't been away since I was carrying DS1 and neither have they (of course) so am getting really excited. Total cost for the hol and train is under £600 as I managed to get a really good deal. Hopefully DS1 may benefit from some 'lots of Mother time' out of the home setting as well. We will have to tighten our belts when we get back and it puts back starting the mortgage overpayments for a couple of months but s0d it, we all need a break (well me anyway)
OS wise, beggar all so far today but I will be in overdrive when I get going as there is lots to do.
Tiredmum, I am so pleased he came back but you are right - stick to your guns. xxxx
Happy birthday to Master n9eav and belated birthday wishes to anyone I missed. xxxx
Very gentle hugs to Pen-pin, Hockeyduo,Katie and anyone else who needs one. xxxx
Beth,
Right I really need to get a move on.

PIPPA S, We did the same as you, gave DD1 a thorough talking to and cut her cards up 4yrs ago, wiped the slate clean and made her promise to let us know if ever she started to slide again.
Obviously she went and applied for more cards. We are loathed to bail her out again as I dread having to go through the same in another 4yrs. Besides it's not fair on DD2 who scrimps and saves every penny where possible and has NEVER had a credit card. If she can't pay cash she will go without.
Well not much ironing done as I've spent time on here getting DD1's energy supplier changed to a cheaper one and trawled the mobile sites for cheaper deals as DD1 and DGD1's mob bills are £65 a month.
Yanked out a beef cass from the freezer for dinner. L/o apple cake & custard for pud.
SMOKY, Hope you have a great time, God knows you deserve it so much.0 -
Hello everyone - hope you're all having a good day?
It's glorious here in the Hebrides and a good day for doing the washing. Took advantage of the weather and changed the bed, so the bedding is out on the line
Busy day at work and writing this in my lunch break. Forgot to take the pasta in the fridge with me, so ended up having a bowl of soup from the canteen and a yogurt that I had in the fridge.
DH is going to the GP this afternoon to see if he can get to the bottom of what ails him.....

Maybe she needs to hear it from someone outside the family? Would she sit through an appointment with CAB? Being told the cold black & white facts by someone other than Mum & Dad may shock her into changing her ways..... Or maybe print off the details about bankruptcy for her to read & inwardly digest, along with a verbal "this bank is now closed" from you both? I appreciate that it must be very difficult for you and easy for me to make suggestions - as far as I know neither of my 2 DS's have any serious money worries apart from student loans & o/d's.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
