Tired Mum - was very pleased to read that your DS came home safe last night.
Thank you to all for your birthday wishes for TuesdayI had a lovely few days in Cardiff, gorgeous weather & a great time with OH. However, I finally found the charity shops on my way for the train yesterday morning - by the station! And there was a very odd chap sat opposite me for an hour & half, next to a pretty young woman.....kept peering / leering at her & then me and cuddling up to her. Mature gentleman with his wife across the aisle could see she was very uncomfortable with this and he went & had a word with the ticket woman & next time we stoppped the odd chappy was encuraged to move by her & the driver to where they could keep an eye on him. Cue smiles of relief and cups of tea all round!
I spent a while reading back over the last few days' threads last night but can't remember much now......
Hockeyduo - Hope your OH is safe & well and home with you soon. It must be very worrying when this happens. My boss's BF is a helicopter pilot & has worked out of Aberdeen with friends still there so I guess they will worry too. :grouphug:
Csarina - So glad to hear that you've moved, but cross that you & OH have had the mess & whatever that the previous tenants left. Never mind, just think of the garden you will have this summer!
:grouphug: to all who would like one
Love & a good day to all,
Floss x
P.S. Whoever was asking about supermarkets in Buxton (tiredmum?), there is a Waitrose in the shopping mall in the centre, a Co-op (I think) beside the railway viaduct and a big Morrisons just outside on the A6 to Bakewell. There are also quite a lot of charity shops & loads of walking stores!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

didn't read yesterdays thread but gather Tired-Mum had a bit of a day - glad to hear it turned out well x
N9eav - happy 18th to your DS:beer:
PP - hope you enjoy your break - well done to you DH on his signing exam:T
Csarina - hope the move went well yesterday
(((hugs))) to everyone else in need
Got 4 days off now:j am cleaning for Mum this morning then later we need to bath the dogs - they've been scratching a bit, cant see any little creatures but better safe than sorry, also going to treat them to prevent any infestation in the future. Have got them a nice 'new' duvet from work that was being chucked out.
Am making quorn cottage pies for tea later and making an inventory of the freezers before shopping tomorrow. Need to keep it cheap as DH's pay was down a fair bit last week due to him being off work work with sciatica.
Off for a browse no, hope you all have a great day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Tiredmum - so glad that your dear son came home safe. I hope that things calm down a little, you deserve a little calm.
N9eave - you never sound old enough for an 18 year old son.
Stefjb - congratulations and well done on the hissy fit. I do hope it all goes well.
HockeyDuo - Hope you are feeling okay.
LameWolf - I managed to dip a little into the cook book a Wolf in the Kitchen. I don't think it would quite suit you, as there are a lot of carnivorous recipes in it. The first chapter was how to make meals out of cans. It is aimed at students in tone and content, but I don't think the instructions are clear enough for the students I am familiar with. I shall look further as LB permits.
Little bear had a short spell of runny bottom last night, which didn't help his nappy rash. His nether end seems to be a little calmer this morning, but he is being watched like a hawk.
When I am not doing that I am feeling a lot better, so I think I will start to reclaim the kitchen. I'll also head for the ironing when little bear is napping.
Dear heart has requested baked potatoes again tonight. I was planning on doing chilli with them, but given the state of LB's bottom I may reconsider.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Morning all
Grrrrrr just done a really long post - twice and lost it to nether regions - twice!!!!
SO rather than try again just now - Tired mum so pleased and relieved for you!
Wannabe sorry not sure of LB's age but could he have a tooth coming through at the back or anywhere? Often causes sore bums like that?!?
MSD you ok?
Right rather than risk loosing this one as well I shall come back on again later - congrats and hugs where appropriate.
Have a good day xxx"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

Morning all..............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one......
We have not moved yet!!! As we are having 2 chaps and a van we are moving the small stuff ourselves, which is giving me time to sort the place out before we move next Wednesday 8th April. Thats when the bulk of the furniture is going, although we may sleep at the house tonight as someone is hoping to collect our old bed tonight.
Council were supposed to be fitting new hinges to 2 doors this morning, chap just called to say thet he has been sent the wrong bits so they are leaving it until we have moved out. So an unexpected trip to the house this morning to take the contents from the bottom of the bed and also some stuff out of the hall cupboard.
Offsy, need to shower and dress.............will post later tonight.....cheers......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Just popped back on to share - it is my day off today and my treat is to have a teapot of tea (rather than quickly make it in mugs on a work day) and have cold toast with proper butter on (I know not very good for you but I only do it once a week!) and sit in the quiet and have a slow start rather than the 4.50 a.m. usual one. Well today I am in the garden, in the sunshine, listening to the birds, on my laptop with my tea and toast - sometimes its just the little things........... Heaven!!!!!!!!
(will all have to stop soon as I have loads to do but for now - heaven!)

PP - enjoy your days away, you deserve a break and well done to OH for his sign language!
taplady - have fun washing the dogs, thats a chore I leave to OH.
its quite cool and overcast here today.
I really do need to get motivated again. In all areas, gym, general organising, ebaying, home cooking, etc....trouble is, Ive sooo "not been with it" the last 3or4 weeks. "that time of the month" lasted for 18days, which has totally knackered everything up! Im more tired come early evening, but when Ive had a bath, Im wide awake!
Please arrange an orderly que and kick my AS5!!!
Right, I think I need to eat my words, and get my gym bag ready!!! Its all good intentions, lets hope I make it after work!
Have a great day all.....Take care
Love Emma x x

Morning All,
Thanks you for your kind thoughts and prayers yesterday. I count myself lucky that OH was not on that flight but sadly 10 of his collegues were. It is a real tradgedy. OH is still due to fly back today but with a different company and helicopter type. Flight due into Aberdeen about 2pm.
Feel totally sick. Just want him home now
Tired Mum a big hug to you...an possibly a large Gin?
OS today is yet more toasties and trip to the Charity shop to drop off my last bag of clothes at lunch time. Beautiful warm day here already.
