The DLA money is yours, you can do what u want, the only time they may ask 4 a review inbetween times, is if ur condition improved.
Enjoy the money, dont worry bout the In Cap beneift, ur DLA doesnt affect that at all.

Please dont worry ur make ur self poorly. x

Definitely agree. The DLA is yours no matter what the IB say. If you are eligible to Income support that also does not take the DLA into consideration. IS is the 'passport' benefit as you can then get free prescriptions, glasses, dentist, hospital travel expenses, etc.

Go on - treat yourself, you deserve it after all the trauma of getting the DLA.

    Thanks I will try :)

I don't think hospital travel covers taxis though I looked into this before and was told its only public transport they will refund

Something just occured to me, I'm registered for gross tax in my bank accounts at the moment, not that I have any savings at all but as I'll be getting this dla now do I have to change it in the bank and will it mean I have to fill in these self assesment forms?
    Thanx

DLA isn't classed as taxable income. Carer's is, which seems petty given how little they pay per hour!

I will ring them just to make sure on the income support side then as they have added thatenhanced care part but under a different name so that will have gone up a bit. Just don't want to get in trouble with the tax man :)
    Thanx

I got my MP involved and mine was sorted in a fortnight - I receive medium care after being turned down on both

Rang incapacity today because every morning I'm just waiting for the letter to arrive and I just know its making me ill and as this could go on for weeks I just thought I had to ring again. This time it was a nice lady I asked if there was any progress after me completing the form I didnt mention the dla but she looked at my details, it took her a long time, perhaps she was reading through my dla info. She then said have you informed us you are on hrc dla? I said yes I did that as soon as I found out but the man I spoke to didnt think it made any difference and said everything was now out in the hands of the private company Atos and dwp had no control over it until the evidence comes back from them. He said he couldnt even contact them so I had been waiting to hear. She said I will ring them as you should not need to attend now you are on hrc, she rang them while I was on the phone and quickly came back saying she had spoken to them and they are sending my papers back to dwp and that I wasnt to worry about it and warned me it could be a few weeks before I get it in wring but she confirmed I will not have to have a medical.

I so hate the fact that people see your forms, its not so bad in the dla dept because thats miles away but when they get passed to your local dwp theres always a chance someone there will know you if they see your notes but I guess its something you have to accept if you re on these benefits, some people have to know such personal things about you
    Thanx
