I cant live like this again. From the age of 16 I've been trying to help my mum amd dealing with debt and lawyers and stuff. All my life, I can't do it anymore .I'm broken0

Hi
You mentioned in an earlier post that you have siblings? Can you get one of them on the phone now?
And please, we do not care if you were a little economic with the truth in the first instance. We have seen a lot worse, I assure you.
Can I also add that you appear at some stages to have been paying Council tax unnecessarily, but we can check that out when you fell a bit more like it.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Well lying will certainly make it harder to give you any accurate advice...
Ok having now had a chance to go through the thread including your last post my first advice is to call the emergency doctor ASAP and ask them to see you tonight. Failing that go to A&E and explain how you're feeling. Right now you need someone to either refer you to a councillor or temporarily put you on something for depression but that needs to be assessed by a professional. I would not recommend you leave this till morning the way you're sounding.
Technically the one that has committed "fraud" is actually your mum as she was the one on the council tax papers. You encouraging her to do so was obviously wrong...
OK so you end up owing a lot of money to the council - you don't automatically get taken to court overnight and I think assuming that you'll get a conviction is a bit premature really...
Depending on the rest of your financial affairs then is there a possibility of selling the flat and paying any amount the council might deem you owe them? Or technically your mum owes them...
One way out of this may be bankruptcy - I am thinking more and more for the sake of your health that might be a way forward that will allow you a clean as possible a slate which I think is what you need right now...

Hi
Agree with TIne, you really need to look after yourself tonight. I I do not think that you are going to get a conviction, unless you insist they prosecute you.
You may have paid too little for some years, and too much for others. This is not a huge debt and it will be OK.
But right now you need immediate help. have you rung your family yet?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I look on this site for answers. But I already know the answer to my question. I have committed fraud. The thing is, it's not just the council tax.. I was in debt with other things too.. I have posted under another name on this site about my other problems.. never really realised the seriousness of this one. Long and short, the last 20yrs have been hellish and I cant face 20 more. There was a point once, now I'm sure theres none. No point callin siblings. I know they love me but i also know theres nothing they can do, No one can change what I've done0

If your siblings love you - do you really think they would want you to go through this on your own. They wouldn't!!
True, they can't change what has happened, but in the grand scheme of things, you really haven't done much wrong. I'm sure it feels it, and i have been in sitautions where i feel i have nothing left to live for, but you have - your mum!! She needs you fit and well.
Please take everyones advice and speak to a drs asap0 -
I am genuinely sorry for lying to you. I want to thank all of you for the advice you have given me and others. Truth is as I posted at 6.59pm. I'm 41 yrs old, lived a mess of a life, different person would've let the State deal with mum, but me? No..thought I could sort it.. RAS and Mrs Tine, thank you for your advice0

So what if you have other debts... big deal!
If you chose to go bankrupt then they would be wiped out - if they aren't already statute barred as RAS mentioned.
