    Hey All,

Not doing very well at posting at mo. Seem to have so much to do, am super stressed, although I shouldn't be as I'm quite organised! I'm on my local school's PTA, so helping out with their Christmas Fayre, got so much to do for that. Then I've got both my boys birthdays and Christmas coming up. Have bought most of the presents, but need to sort out what's for Christmas and what's for birthday and wrap it in the appropriate paper. Started writing my Christmas cards yesterday. My house is an absolute tip at the moment and I really need to do a big clear out and clean, but just don't seem to get the time. There are def not enough hours in the day.

Saw the dr again this week, reviewed my meds, good news is they're not putting dose up at the mo as I'm doing a bit better than I was 2 weeks ago, which is good news, but I still feel quite anxious and overwhelmed. My boys are going to their Dads this weekend, but I have a 6 hour first aid course to do on Saturday, followed by visiting my nan in the hospital. She's now developed a chest infection as well, poor thing. Feels like she's been in there forever now (probably feels even worse for her!).

All in all life is getting on top of me a bit and a large part of me would like to go and hide somewhere, but I'm doing my best to keep going (just keep swimming, as Dory would say from Finding Nemo!).

Welcome to new posters on the thread, sorry I haven't been thru and replied individually, kids are now shouting for their breakfast (yes it's not even 6 in the morning, I love that my kids get up so early!! lol). Hi to Katie, Miro, Shaz, Miro I hope your recovery goes well.

    Love to you all,
    Flis

  • :wave:hi flis, sorry to hear everything is getting on top of you, its a busy time of year especially when you have little ones. dont worry about the house being a mess, you can tidy it again when the kids have left home :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(maybe if i had kept my house tidy, packing up to leave would have been easier)
the kids will sleep later in a morning when they hit there teens, i remember the early mornings well, and i dont envy you that task. but to have little uns at xmas is ace, enjoy them while they are still young. this will be my fisrt xmas without the boys, and i am dreading it.hope your nan gets better soon. (((big hugs)))

    Hello all

Thank you kindly for the welcome - I'm so sorry to hear that some of you are struggling. Sending out positive thinking to you all. Ihave had another bad patch in my life and survived it, so I send out good wishes to you all, there is hope, and it's amazing what you can get through yet still be here, 'relatively' intact.

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday to DeterminedNMS!

Mini - Thanks also for the tip about the mini-splurges - that's a great idea. Now I just have to stop myself trying to eat my own body weight in junk food :o Still dragging myself up at the same time every day to keep some sort of routine and do something. And still taking the tablets....

  • morning all, very stressed and upset here. house in chaos moving tommorrow, and still loads to do. not helped by the fact that i've been sat crying this morning, after a phone call from hospital, to say one of my 16yr old sons had been admitted. someone had found him collapsed on pavement and rang for paramedics

  • ah shaz so sorry, try not to fret too much. He's in the best place & I am sure he will be ok. I worry myself into the ground about my kids always imagining the worst & they always end up ok x

Try to focus on what you need to get done today. Sending you lots of love x

sazzy and gilly, how are you both
hugs to all posters, new and old
    love shaz xxx

Hi shaz - we are both well, thanks hun. So kind of you to ask after us xx Working and commuting makes us quite tired, especially at this time of year when we're leaving the house early in the morning, in the dark, and get home quite late, in the dark. But that is a minor inconvenience really, life is good for us and we are very happy. I try to count my blessings every day.

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time though. I know you'll be without internet now, but just wanted to say I hope the move goes well for you and that your son is on the mend. You are such a good, kind and generous person shaz, you really deserve to get a few breaks in life.

And a big hi and hug to everyone here - lurkers and posters old and new :hello: I don't get to post on here much now, but I do read along often and keep you all in my thoughts. Keep going and keep talking - it really does help. I know it is what saved me. That and finding my gilly badger :)

    Much love to you all,
    Sazzy xxxxxxx

  • Hi everyone
I have a friend with OCD and another male friend who I suspect may have issues. Howdy to all here.
Mental illness is difficult for friends to deal with but progress is always a good thing.
