Ive had my Incapacity Benefit reinstated! :T

We didn't have to wait long to go in to the tribunal. The doctor went through the list of points that the original doctor had made at my Incapacity Benefit medical. He listened to my answers and I could see him putting "1" so I knew he was awarding me more points. He put "0" after one answer. However, after only asking me about 4-5 questions he stopped and showed his tick sheet to the official who sat next to him and she nodded and then turned and said he had got me to 10 points, which is the amount I need to qualify for IB. There was no need to go further to award more points because I had already reached 10.

Im so relieved that it is all over and it is such a weight of my mind knowing Im getting my IB reinstated and that they are going to backdate it to November too. Phew!

Looking out my window is miserable drizzle. It feels like March rather than May

I can't get warm. The heating has been playing up and the hot water isn't hot, so can't wash my hair. The plumber was late which annoyed us. My OH rang to get it sorted, he arrived and told us what was wrong, so waiting on the landlord to give permission. I hope it isn't too disruptive.

The LL has been messing us about since January. First, they put us on a rolling contract which means 2 months notice from them, 1 month for us to give notice, then they decided they wanted us to take a year but not signing till this boiler is fixed properly. The boiler has never really worked properly and had some time without heating and hot water on occasion since we moved in last September.

I really wish I could find a place and tell them to stuff it but the choice out there is dire.

That and my OH being a drag (tho to be fair he is dealing with it etc). I thought we would have more fun being together more and in a nice place. He is good at dealing with people and the problems and is trying to set up a business which I leave him alone to do. It is when we have the time out and think we will have fun he lets me down. I feel like an old woman when I feel this way and need to feel young, fun and vibrant again!

House and husband problems really get me down.

hi all, talked to ian again last night, and he said noway is he giving up rugby any sunday afternoon (so much for compromise) feel so low, that i am scared to make a decision, that i may later regret, but my gut feeling at the mo, is i'm prob best off without him, but i'll miss the cuddles, and he does make me smile at times, time will tell i suppose. more bad news from joshua's school, he has been excluded again. kids new social worker was here when school rang, and was shocked how little support is in place, told him i had no respite, or help etc, and he said he would look into it. he also said i should have a social worker of my own, fighting for my needs to be met also, because whilst i am not getting the support i need, my health is suffering further, and that also must have an impact on the kids.

I am alright,had a great day,Shaz I am glad your new support worker will try and get you the help you need,thats what I was saying the other day,the kids seeing you not happy were playing up as a result as they sensed you were not happy and that was their way of saying things were not right because they couldnt communicate to you their feelings because I expect they didnt know how to tell you and in their own way.

I am off to bed now but congratulations once again to you Beachbeth can only be better for you from now on.

CCstar: hope you are alright too.

Tiff: we miss you on here and your cat pics,they cheer me up no end.
