How awful Shaz - I shall offer you a (((((((HUUUUGE HUG!!!!!))))))))

Without sounding bossy or intrusive, I would give yourself a break from him and see how it goes. If he really cares about you, he may realise what he is missing and give more of what you need to you.

You deserve better and although you are lonely, stressed and like his fun side, I sense you are getting crumbs from this man and want more than just fun from him.

If he is worth having, he will be more sensitive to your needs, otherwise it is no great loss in the long run

I wish I could take my own advice tho' about putting up with other people's behaviour that makes me unhappy.

CCStar The problem with other threads is unlike this one they are not a support thread so as in the the "real" world you will get people you percieve as rude and unhelpfull.Sorry you are so unhappy with your oh.I was in an unhappy marriage for twenty years which only ended when he met someone else.I stayed in the marriage for the same reasons as you partly financial but mostly because i wanted my children brought up by both parents but realise now that apart from the children i wasted twenty years and could have ended up wasting another twenty.Yes i am lonely but i was also lonely in the marriage and if i am honest i am happier now than i was in the marriage.
I asked a question in another thread and got an unsympathetic reply, so told them so. They apologised and we 'made up'. That should have been the end of it but no

About eight other posters decided to have a pop at me defending the original poster and I told them to butt out!

I wish other posters would mind their own business when I talk to a poster and it gets resolved quickly. It really has nothing to do with them:mad:

nobody gangs up on you, on this thread, everybody is nice to each other and tries to help. i haven't any good advice to give right now, as i am in a bad place yet again, tonight me an ian split up, and i'm heartbroken, still love him so much, but i will never ignore you and always here to listen

    shaz xxx

I agree, Shaz. Im not too good tonight. Its my IB tribunal tomorrow and Im having kittens tonight! I don't want to go tomorrow - its going to be awful. I didn't want to come on here tonight and depress people and at the same time Im not in a good place to help others at the moment. (Sorry about Ian by the way.)

Sometimes I post something and need a kind word and no one answers and it can be upsetting so I know what you mean, CCStar. Sometimes people are offline or just dealing with their own cr*p. I just assume that this is the case and try not to take it to heart.

We are all here for you and understand how bad things can get.

In some other threads people are only posting to take the mickey out of people and you have to take it with a pinch of salt. On the whole, most folk are ok here in the depression thread tho.

Ive got to get off to bed now - ive got a headache and its only going to get worse with whats happening tomorrow. :(

Wow you have a long memory. We are still in touch but only occasionaly these days.Have excepted the fact that it is never going to be anything more but cannot bring myself to stop contact. He tends to text more when things go wrong, for example his last text was to tell me he had been made redundant.I suppose most people would say he is using me but it makes me feel needed and it is not in me to turn my back on him.

Their are only 2 things about me that still work. My memory is one of them!

As long as you are getting something from it, that's the main thing. Every little thing we can find that helps us and doesn't hurt anyone else, can only be a good thing!

CCStar - Ignore those people and just take the good advice. Some of those people have nothing better to do and as geminilady says, it's not as supportive as this thread.

Shaz - Sorry of your bad news. Hopefully he'll realise his mistake.

Best of luck to beachbeth tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. It's been a long day, so will have to call it a night soon.

Shaz - definitely think you did the right thing sharing. At least he can't say he didn't know how you felt.

I'd take a step back and be relaxed and accepting that it is what it is and see how he responds.
