    Hi Sequeena,

It won't help too much I'm sure, but I am sorry to hear you're feeling so low, I guess it is natural for things to be hitting a peak now with the timing of the court, but, natural or not, very hard to deal with it sounds.

I would direct you to talk to the Samaritans, you can speak over the phone or email them

a site I find helpful is

    http://www.mentalhealth-world.org.uk/forums/index.php

And lastly, pm me if you ever want to chat. Not been in the space you're in, but have faced depression and lived through a difficult court case.

Take care and I hope your Dr listens to you and counselling comes your way

I would like to know what specific differences there are between having a depression thread where support and tips are exchanged, and having a Menopause thread where similar issues are discussed. It seems to me that the only difference is that the former is looked on more sympathetically than the latter, and I would like to know why that should be the case.

Sequeena - there are support groups for adult survivors of abuse. They often have phone-lines for both male & female survivors.

You are being triggered because of the trial & that is natural for you to goover things again n your head, but you do need any support that you can get that is tailored to you & your needs. Please try & find a support group near you - there will be one. Google it.

this thread was originally started in the Arms and moved here to avoid off topic posts/comments by special permission of Martin/the team :)

I've asked them to look at the menopause thread and make a decision on wether it should be reopened, so can people please wait until they take a look :)
taking other threads off topic and continuing to post in this way is not the way to get it reinstated, remember it's a private site and no member has the right to state what is allowed here

any other off topic posts in this or any other thread will be removed and referred to abuse

I presume we are allowed to ask polite questions? and I am not sure what you mean by "continuing to post in this way"

As you have referred the Menopause thread to the mods can I ask if you have asked for it to also be given special consideration as with this thread?

I agree with your comment re rights, but surely consistency is also required?

I also assume that if a new thread was opened with a thread title similar to the one you have made for the fashion chat thread there would be no issue?

other threads shouldn't be taken off topic
and I meant continuing to question a decision by posting on other threads when I have posted that the matter has been referred to abuse

As you have referred the Menopause thread to the mods can I ask if you have asked for it to also be given special consideration as with this thread?
I don't ask for special consideration for any thread, that is up to Martin/the team
I agree with your comment re rights, but surely consistency is also required?
on a private site any rules/rights are up to the owner
I also assume that if a new thread was opened with a thread title similar to the one you have made for the fashion chat thread there would be no issue?
any new thread will be closed until the team have made a decision

please let this drop now until we are given a decision :)

hi, im unsure a bit why people are concerned over funding issues for seeing a psychologist etc surerly you can recieve treatment outpatient and inpatient via the nhs ?
Also, i see no reason for this thread to be discontinued as depression is a cause and can occur due to money problems, oh well

arran I am on a waiting list to see a psychiatrist and was bumped up as fast as possible. I still have around 18 months to wait. If I could afford to I would pay to go private but sadly I don't have that type of money so I have to wait.
