    Feeling better now I feel free from thinking about idiots. I feel it is time to live my life my way. After years of putting other people first, I feel it is my turn to look after me.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
    I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    Hi

    I know it can be strange when your OH is away but it also a time you can use to please just you.

    Some people I come across on forums do seem to resemble people who are on the Jeremy Kyle show.

    I detest that show - full of underclass chavs that need shipping off to an island far away from here.

    No doubt I shall be called a stuck up snob for stating my opinion, yet it is OK for chavs to be offensive and get upset by the same remarks they give out to others. They are such hypocrites, difficult to communicate with and very challenging to deal with, as they are so fixed in their defensive ways, refusing to see anything from anyone else's point of view.

    You are so right. I haven't been on the forums for a while, mainly because I was sick and tired of these kind of people. Its easy to be nasty and vicious to people from the safety of your pc - would these people be brave enough in person? I doubt it. As you say, CCStar, they are cowards and hypocrites.

    I hope everyone is feeling ok. I haven't been doing too badly myself. If you read Denise Welch's biography she talks about depression and says that, even though some people think that people who suffer with it are weak willed, this just isn't the case. She says, quite rightly, that you actually have to be quite strong to be able to cope in any way with normal life when you are suffering from this illness. It is often seen that sufferers are "giving in" and not trying to pull themselves together and this is so far removed from the actual experience. So for all you who are struggling with it at the moment, don't let anyone tell you that you are weak. Take your doctor's advice and take any meds or treatment that he/she thinks are appropriate. Be kind to yourself and don't set yourself goals that are too high.

    How are we all? x
  • I hd CBT and feel it really gave me my life back. I had had counselling which is different and helped me but in a very different way. You really need to want to do it and do the homework they give you. After some years of illness and traumatic family events I was diagnsed wth post traumatic stress disorder. I managed to go to work but my performance was very bad ( and noticed) and my weight plummeted to about 7.5 stone, only left the house if I really had to and refused to travel away from my home town for 3 years. I suppose I'm saying how bad my life was because I really saw no way out of it at the time, and it is hard to see past the present. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck.
  • Hi everyone, posting under a different name because I feel a little embarrassed. Hope it is ok to post this here, I need a bit of advice. I went to my GP about a month ago for sleeping problems and also I told him I thought I had depression which he basically ignored and said I was feeling low due to lack of sleep which is not the case and really he just told me to do more exercise and gave me some pills to calm me to sleep.

    I've been feeling really low lately and I don't know what to do if I should go back or not. I know that my mother suffers from seasonal depression and I'm pretty sure I suffer from it also. My aunt (dads side) also suffers from chronic depression but I have no idea if it runs in the family.

    I am a 22 yo female , should I go.back to gp I feel a bit stupid going in and telling him I'm depressed since anyone could say that and I can't really describe how I feel to him.
