I get terrible PMT.
Usually I can't stand from the pain and I get really achy heavy legs and feel really faint.
Then there's the irritability and extreme tearfulness...:(2019 Wins

No, its certainly not a dull ache! I get sharp shooting pains and I feel as though theres a heat in my stomach which makes the pain worse. As you say, its a dragging pain as though my insides are going to come out (sorry if anyone is eating their tea!) and this can spread to my legs too. Who would want to be a woman by choice?:o
Too true mrs. Hot water bottles can be a great help as I'm sure you've all discovered. A really hot one, with a cover or two on and placed underneath my lower back as I recline on the sofa, I couldn't live without it.
Dunno about you all but I've found in the past that I got especially wound up with men and their manly ways during PMT, my mum and sis are the same, wonder if there's some ancient biological purpose to that, I've no idea what it could be though?! Thankfully my hubby is understanding and really helps me with PMT and pains.

Its only at the time of the month that I notice how my OH eats and it drives me mad!!!!:rotfl:
I can't stand anyone touching me either. Even if its someone sitting next to me and their elbow is only just touching!
Perhaps its mother nature's way of telling you that its no good a man coming near you at this time because you're not ovulating! I saw an interesting programme once where they followed women about (with their knowledge!) at different times of the month. When the women were in the middle of their cycle and ovulating they tended to wear less and show more skin, ie short skirt instead of trousers etc. When they were in the menstrual part of the month they covered up a lot more without realising!0 -

Ooh, I know what you mean, it makes me cringe!
Ah yes, knew about the ovulating and scanty dress thing - hmm interesting."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Bl**dy nature, wants us women pregnant all the time doesn't it:mad:
I know what you mean about men's eating noises? How come women's noises don't bother us as much? Maybe men get it in the neck for not impregnating us even though we don't want them to most of the time. Nature again:mad:
Strangely enough my OH says I was at my nicest when I was pregnant....;)

Another theory about PMT and painful periods
This is a bit gross, so don't read if you are eating
I got bunged up during my PMT time which is why I got fatter/bloated. All that sh*t can't be good for you. When you start, it all relaxes and tries to get out too quickly, hence the pains and why it resembles labour pains.
I used to have a cup of sweet tea which cleared me out but it did tire me too. A pain killer as well usually helps. The body holds onto too much carp as it is tense.
I was lucky even though I was irregular, I used to start on Friday nights or Saturday - probably as it wasn't a school/work day and used to be relaxed on those days.
If anyone has excessive pain, they should ask their GP if they have endometriosis.

Before I went on the pill, for about a week an a half before I was due my brain would turn to cotton wool, I would become more and more clumsy and more and more angry and irritated and more and more constipated:o. Then the day I started I would feel even worse and want to virtually kill someone, be in a lot of pain and have diarrhoea and be sick if any ate anything. By day 3 this would all begin to fade away until by day 5 I would start to feel normal. Day 7 I would be on an absolute high, full of energy and feeling really happy. Then a week and a half later it would all start again.
At least on the pill it all lasts 5 days and the rest of the time I feel normal. When I look back its no wonder I was miserable all the time at my last school.
Sorry to go on about it but its unusual for me to find any other women who suffer the same or worse! I wonder if any of this is linked to depression? I wonder if what causes pms in some women and not in others is the same thing that gives some people depression and not others? I just think there is something there that isn't quite working right.0
