The trigger this time is that I said something at work that I shouldn't have. It was a stupid thing to say and looked as if I was trying to get a colleague into trouble. But I wasn't. It was done innocently - but not very wisely. Sometimes I do tend to say what I think without thinking it through first. This is exactly what happened. I can't go into details as it's about work.
I can understand how you feel. I am really good at saying the wrong thing and then realising afterwards how it would have been taken - totally opposite to how I meant it. I have replayed things in my head too and made it seem worse in my head than it actually was. Just think though of the people who do this sort of thing on purpose and don't feel guilty about it at all. They seem to get away with it because they carry on as though nothing has happened.
Can you not explain to people you are closest to that it wasn't meant in malice? Im sure in time it will be forgotten and it won't have stuck in other people's minds how it has in yours.0 -
Hi everyone :hello:
Just a quickie sazzy coz we're not long in from doing a mega food shop and I need to make a start on dinner soon. And we've finally got two bags of leaves bagged up to make leaf mold. It was cold out there though.
Willa - I don't think we've met - so hi :hello: and welcome to the thread:) And welcome too, jewelly:)
Hope everyone's having an ok sunday... why does the weekend go so quick?
Big hugs to shaz, cc, rbk, and anyone who needs them.
Much love to all,

Hi Sazbo
I might pop up from time to time if that's OK.
I have CFS (& depression/OCD), so find it hard to keep tabs on and address everybody's posts so I don't mean to be rude if I seem to ignore any.

^ it's ok, there's another one in 5 days time
it isn't too early to start looking forward to that and making fab plans.0 -
Thanks for the replies all. I am feeling a bit better than I was.
I have been trying to keep busy and not dwell too much. I know it will fade over time and I can learn from it. I've apologised to my boss by letter and will explain as best I can to the colleague affected.
It's so annoying to face the fact that my mental health is actually that fragile. It makes me fearful that I could become ill again the way I was before. Oh well.
Thanks again for the support.0 -
Sorry to hear about your work situation jewelly. I'm glad you don't feel so bad as earlier on, though. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0

The bad news is we didn't win the lottery this week, I was planning on taking the whole depression thread crew on a humongous holiday!:T Still, I'm gonna keep playing. Worst case scenario I'll have to smuggle you all into my case to go to Cornwall :money:
It's the dreaded 'M' word tomorrow... Shaz don't be too happy about it:D
Much love to all,
