Pipkin you're really going through a lot right now. I think you're coping far better than I ever would. I hope they are able to help you with the pain management. Hugs to you xxx
Thanks for that
I sort of have no choice but to carry on, as I have my girls to think of.
I also try to save my tears for when they're in bed
The Dr has said no cups of tea after 7pm. I'm finding that difficult and have had such a weird headache. I feel ratty as wellWithdrawal symptoms?
We're going to Cornwall this year. I've never been, so it's something to look forward toHope you manage to find somewhere.

i feel that this is an offensive thing to say, to somebody who has issues with self harming
Sometimes, people say something without realising the link.
I read what the poster had said and thought it wasn't a wise choice of words, but didn't think it was done deliberately. Obviously, I can't know that for sure, but would look at it as though the poster put their foot in it without realising.
Try not to take it negatively shazrobo. I know that's hard to do, but you did really well not to SH the other day, and seeing something negatively can put you back.
Just my view of what was said
Well done anyway, for managing your SH.There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Withdrawal symptoms?
Sounds like it might be withdrawl symptoms. When I stopped drinking coffee, (I will sometimes drink it when at home - don't really want to get teased for the way I have my tea!) I got nothing but headaches.I've had a change of meds now, and have to increase to the maximum dose, which means I don't feel great today
I hope you feel ok soon. It sounds to meas though it could just take some getting used to?
I could do with some advice please:
The last few weeks have been hell for me. Somehow, I have managed not to self harm, which is good. However, I'm lacking motivation to do things. I think I need help again; but don't really have the guts to sit in the doctors surgery and explain what's going on.
It has been suggested that I write a letter. What sort of things should I write, please?
I don't know what help I want - but I want to stop feeling so down and generally !!!!!!.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Am I right in thinking that you have recently had a medication change?
Do you know why you are feeling the way you are at the moment?
When was the last time you had blood tests?
Would anti-depressants help, or are you taking them already?
Do you think the main impact on how you're feeling is connected to your living conditions?
How did you get on after emailing your accomodation team? Have they responded?
I think writing everything down, so you can give it to your GP is a great idea. Start with saying how you are feeling, how long you have been feeling that way and give examples, for instance, if you find it difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
Well done with the SH, btwConsidering the stress you have been under recently, that's an achievement

Thanks pipkin. I have never been on any medication for my depression. I am on eye drops for dry eyes and that's it currently.
The last time I had a blood test was just over 2 years ago.
I think a lot of the reason why I'm feeling the way I do, is because of the current living situation. They've made everything out to be my fault. (I'm not the one going around accusing people of faking disabilities on the basis they were never informed from day one)
Worryingly, (he does know this - I have admitted it to him) the only time I'm happy is when I'm with a friend of mine. Even if it's just us talking about music or whatever.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

lol Gem that reminds me of when I moved into my flat - which wasn't bigger than a shoebox - and I went and bought a sofa in ikea without checking if it would fit through the door. Well they came to deliver it and it very nearly didn't get through the door - but then we realised that the legs could be unscrewed - and we got it through the door but only just!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I wouldn't be happy without tea either. Is that all tea you can't have, or just 'black' tea? Can you have green tea? Altho I'm saying that, I don't like it myself... lol. Rooibos, or redbush tea is nice tho, high in antioxidants and caffeine free.
We just adore Cornwall. I hope you love it as much as we do

I agree the current living situaion is causing a lot of the negativity you feel
I do worry about this relationship you have with your friend. Do you feel as though you are starting to 'need' him? Basing your happiness on when you are with your friend is also something you need to address, hunny. He is married and there could be a lot of hurt feelings, if you continue this friendship.
He is also hiding your visits from his wife, who is also suffering with depression. What if, unbeknown to you, his wife is actually a member of this forum. Someone you talk to, someone who shares their depression? How would that person feel, knowing her husband is carrying on a secret friendship?
What would you say if someone said their husband was having a secret friendship with a younger girl, and she was deeply unhappy with this, causing her depression to increase?
Have a look and see if there are any self confidence courses near where you are. I feel you need to work on your confidence and self-respect. Perhaps that is also something you could mention to your GP.
I know my words aren't lovey-dovey, but they are meant sincerely, pet. You could end up being very hurt through this friendshipThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

My blood pressure is up and I'm not sleeping, so they said no tea after 7, but I didn't think to ask what I could drink

I kept finding that I was frequently finding it difficult to sleep and my mind was racing, so I started to only drink caffeine before lunchtime (coffee or tea). After lunch I only have decaff tea or coffee (Tetley do a decaff tea that tastes just the same to me). It really made a difference and now Im out like a light most nights.0
