Meyore hun, lovely to hear from you and although it sounds as though things have been quite hard for you recently, I think it's a positive step that you've been to the doc and asked for help - that takes courage xx

It's interesting what you say. I wonder if when we see other people's situations that it strikes a chord with us, with what we're feeling or going through at the time? It's like it pushes buttons maybe.

Let us know how you get on with referral hun and take care of yourself.

    S xx

Does anyone else feel overwhelmingly sad when they see the suffering of other people? I can manage how I feel most of the time, yet there are these moments when I see something that just knocks it right out of me. It's happening pretty much every day recently. I work with the public and see a lot of vunerable people and I just feel so bad for them, some have too little money to live on, some are just alone in the world.

You're not alone in feeling this way.

I'm starting to feel slightly better now. :) Ended up eating Chinese earlier - not a good idea; but I needed food and couldn't be @rsed too cook.

meyore, well done on asking for help. Is your doctor good it makes things easier if he/she is.
I know what you mean about other peoples situations getting to you, I have stopped watching the news because I get so upset. It makes me feel bad for moaning about my problems which in turn makes me feel worse.
I don't know how my head doesn't explode sometimes;) x

Hope your referral comes through soon

Me and gilly badger have been saying it all feels like a bit of slog, up at 6am, two hour journey to work, then work, two hour journey home, eat, go to bed, repeat the next day. And the next. Maybe it's the long winter nights making us feel a bit ho-hum. And making me crave chocolate!:D I've suggested we maybe take a long weekend away, maybe a break would recharge our batteries.

I think its the time of year. Christmas is over, its still cold, we still have the dark nights and there's no sign of spring yet.:( If I was rich I would go abroad for a couple of months, somewhere nice and sunny to escape the gloom. Even a weekend away in this country for a change of scenery would be nice, as you say, Sazbo. Carol on Loose Women was saying last week that she had just been abroad (Thailand I think) and was saying how lovely it was feeling the sun on her skin. It made me want to get on the next plane!

Im a bit under the weather (medical reasons that I won't bore you with) which makes me wish I could escape away at the moment too. I would love to just be lying in the sun on a nice beach at the moment.

By the way, im not a big chocolate eater and can usually take or leave it (yes, I am female!) but tonight I scoffed a few pieces of a Galaxy bar so I know what you mean about craving chocolate, Sazbo.

Let me know if you go away - I'll come too!:p

    Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your back tulip, but at least it's starting to get better after your GP visit.

I have food cravings, so know how you all feel. Chocolate is a big one here, too.

Dfeinitely a good step that you've been to the GP, Meyore.

Sandy, how are you today? Hope you're doing ok :)

Are you ok, Sazbo? I hate the cold, damp feeling at this time of year, and will be happy when the sun starts shining again :)

So-so at the hospital yesterday. An emotional day really. I have to accept I'm not going to get any better, but that's really hard to come to terms with :(

Anyway, will post more later. Girls have a Japanese lesson this morning, so need to get ready for that.

morning all, katie, sorry to hear you've hurt your back,(((hugs)))
sazzy, 2 hours to get to work:eek:, that would tire me out on one day, let alone a whole week. you and gilly sound like you need a weekend away to look forward to.
a friend of mine, who has been really supportive, myself and the kids are going away, in feb half term, mon to fri, as we need something to look forward to. only going to blackpool, and it'll still be cold, but it'll be a change of routine.,
ian text me yesterday, asking if i was still meeting him in town tommorrow, ( we arranged it last week, before we split) he said to talk and chat, so i said yes, but only as friends, nothing more. i get the idea, he wants to go back to how things were, i dont and told him so. having second thoughts about meeting him now, and wandering if its best not to see each other, and leave the past where it belongs in the past.
meyore, glad you recgnised you needed to see the doctor, and sought help. i feel very sad when i see suffering too, i'm another one that barely watches the news, for the same reason
tiff, sorry to hear things are a struggle at tiff towers right now.(((hugs))) as sazzy said, dont feel like you have to write long posts if you dont feel up to it, just post to sound off if you need to. take care of yourself hun

    hugs all

I agree. Just a nice short post to let us know how you are doing, Tiff. We all just want to know you are ok. Sorry things are difficult for you at the moment.

Hope your back is a bit better today, Katie.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Pipkin sorry you had a tough time of it yesterday, I hope you get the support you need. Do you have a Japanese connection? I was lucky enough to go once and really loved the place. I'm feeling a bit better thanks, just in the fact that it's friday today, altho I know Shaz doesn't look forward to the weekends as much as I do :-/ There was an accident on the motorway this morning, so it took longer than the normal 2 hours to get to work and I feel exhausted before I've even get to my desk lol. Meeting at 11 so need to prepare for that, just having a coffee and trying to wake up. Could murder some chocolate tho:D but am on a diet and must try to be good!

Shaz if you wanted to meet Ian tomorrow, you could always say that you have to meet up with another friend afterwards, so that could give you an opportunity to leave and not feel pressured to stay longer than you want to? Just a thought hun xx

Katie how is your back today? xx And Meyore how are you doing?

    - you're on! And judging by your piccie you look quite small, so you can fit in my wheelie case;) If I get time today I'm gonna have a quick gawp at t'interweb to see if there are any nice country hotel deals on at the moment.

Havea good day everyone, will try and look in again this afternoon.

    Much love to all,

when ian text last night, asking to meet tommorow, it was today that he meant, as he asked yesterday if that made sense?
anyway met him in town, and he wasnt particularly friendly, in fact the main reason was to ask for some things back. anyway at least i know its over for good, i already thought that, as i didnt particularly want him back, not unless he changed, and he made it clear, he likes the freedom of a single life, and isnt going to change.
so why do i feel so upset, and feel like i taken a few steps backward in how i'm feeling mentally?
    sazzy  for the weekend
for me, roll on monday :j
