    Hi guys!hello.gif
Good morrow, my little pineapple chunks!biggrin.gif
I'm going to start by sending a warm sSig_welcometoourclan.gif to chatbug (chatty), dave101t (dave) and annabelle09 (belle).sLo_hug2.gif You are all very welcome here - come on in, the water's lovely. I know you'll have had a friendly welcome from the gang already.angel-smiley-002.gif

Yes, 'tis Purrsday already. I hope everyone is as well as they can be. Sorry I've not been around much this week peeps - it'll probably be March before I post something sensible - but I've been a poorly ol' Tiffster and there's been stuff and then work on the latest edition of 'The Tiff Chronicles' has been very hard-going. Pages all over the place. So I'm not as fluffy as you might think.
Actually, I think this sums it all up purrfectly...smiley-whacky097.gif!!! laughing-smiley-014.gif
Never mind - you'll just have to put up with me being a grumpy mare for now until the blue smarties kick in.wink.gif Which leads me on to the slightly PMS-associated topic of helpful hints I found down in the Tiff archives, which may make life easier for some of our gents. I think this should be given out in schools! rolleyes.gif

    The Female Rules
    1. The Female always makes THE RULES.
    2. THE RULES are subject to change without notice.
    3. No Male can possibly know all THE RULES.
    4. If the Female suspects the Male knows all THE RULES, she must immediately change some of THE RULES.
    5. The Female is never wrong.
    6. If it appears the Female is wrong, it is because of a flagrant misunderstanding caused by something the Male did or said wrong.
    7. If Rule #6 applies, the Male must apologize immediately for causing the misunderstanding.
    8. The Female can change her mind at any time.
    9. The Male must never change his mind without the express written consent of The Female.
    10. The Female has every right to be angry or upset at any time.
    11. The Male must remain calm at all times, unless the Female wants him to be angry or upset.
    12. The Female must, under no circumstances, let the Male know whether she wants him to be angry or upset.
    13. The Male is expected to read the mind of the Female at all times.
    14. At all times, what is important is what the Female meant, not what she said.
    15. If the Male doesn't abide by THE RULES, it is because he can't take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp.
    16. If the Female has PMS, all THE RULES are null and void and the Male must cater to her every whim.
    17. If the Male, at any time, believes he is right, he must refer to Rule #5.

Now fellas, you can't say you didn't know!biggrin.gif Just a point of reassurance here peeps, I'm not a handbag-wielding feminist - honestly. I am very much in favour of chivalry and having the catflap opened for me.
Sending extra hugs out to sazzy, gem, shaz, beth, pc, ettie b, plushy, miro, lm, ccstar, katie-tulip, amber, red, cb2, sp, sf, rbk, gilly-badgie and of course, to anyone in need of one. grouphug.gif I know some of us are struggling a bit right now but hang in there and don't give up, k?
    Be kind to yourself, guys.sLo_hug2.gif

wow there was a lot to catch up with, and i've only been off work 5 days. congrats to everyone, it must be lovely to be engaged, pregnant or married. Best wishes to all.
Had op last week to remove tumour from bowel, they have found 2 more, so have to have them removed to. been referred to an oncologist, as i will need some chemo.
My friend works in a private clinic and if i go private i can have the op on thu or fri of this week. I've borrowed the money and think its a good idea to get it done as quick as possible.
Doc says he will up my dosage end of October, can't wait ! Just wanna feel normal, whatever that is now. Big hugs to everyone.
I know I'm a fine one to talk but you've not posted for a couple of weeks and I wondered how you were, angel. I'm glad they managed to get the tumour out for you although I'm sorry that they've found two more. But at least they did find them and hopefully that gives you a great head start, hunnie. You've really been through the mill and I think you're a very brave soul with a great philosophy.action-smiley-033.gif I hope the surgery and the chemo do you the world of good and get rid of it all for you, red.wink.gif I wouldn't look for normal though, hun - not around here anyway. I can't find it anywhere.sSc_scarednervous.gif

And should you need a second opinion, I've got this friend...

morning all, hope everyone is doing well.
felt suicidal again last night, dont know whats wrong with me, thats twice this week, that i've felt like ending it all. last night me and ian sat down and worked out our finances and acording to the entitled to website, we will be a lot worse off living together. only he works, i don't, and we wouldnt get any working tax credit, just child tax, which i already get.
on top of that, he still has a year to pay on his car loan, i have 2 years left on mine, so money would be really really tight. so we've decided to carry on living seperate for a while longer, i'm gutted, was really looking forward to cuddling up to him every night. he reassured me, he still loves me, which i had no doubt anyway.

Im so sorry Shaz that you have been feeling low. What a shame you can't live with Ian. That could really help you having someone there all the time. Hugs for you - hang in there. ((()))

Tiff, that picture of the dog in the little basket really made me laugh - thanks for posting it!

Im fine thanks, Poppy. Hugs to you too ((())) Its sunny here and that always makes you feel cheery I think. My online shopping has arrived and Ive also hoovered upstairs (hate hoovering!). Im sitting here with a cuppa and catching up on mse. Its a bit annoying that I got my MSE email today saying that I could subscribe for the footy on Saturday for £4.99 if I did it by the end of Wednesday! If I do it today apparently its £9.99. :(

I can't stand football myself but I think my hubby may want to watch it.
  • That's sad, Ian has so obviously been brilliant for you and you should be able to be together. I'd suggest having a look at finances again, and see if there's anything you haven't considered. For example, could you manage with one car between you (assuming you could pay off the loan earlier), or sell one and get a cheaper second car? Wouldn't it be cheaper to run one household rather than two, so that even if your income is reduced your outgoings are less?

Failing that, just spend as many nights together as the rules will let you :p

morning all, thanks for your replies and hugs, your friendship means so much to me.
was feeling very low again yesterday, and SH, worse than ever before, the cuts were deep, and blood was everywhere, afterwards i felt so stupid and pathetic, why do i do it to myself.
as for the finances, Ian has a child too, and obviously pays for the child, even tho the mother wont allow him contact with child. he also has mortgage to pay on his own house,(his parents have advised him to keep hold of it for now, incase we dont work out, and he ends up losing everything, which has happened to him in past)
saying that, he says he is thinking of renting it out to pay mortgage, dont know what effects that will have on finances.
as for selling one of cars, Ian works 15 miles from me, and because its shift work he needs his car.
if i sold mine, i would be housebound with the children, because i cant manage them both on public transport by myself. i actually use my sons dla to pay for car, as its for the childrens benefit, i often use bus when out on my own, as i have a free bus pass.

    hope everyone is ok
    big hugs
