There is loads you can do. It depends on the time you have.

    I do the following:

Cheese and tomato Pizza cooked the night before - its really nice cold.
    Cheese and Crackers with pickles.
Pasta with Herb and Tomato sauce - again good cold.
Soups or Stew kept in a Thermos, eaten with a crusty roll.
Good old bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Toasted Bagels - they are fabulous cold, with cream cheese.

    :)

Sometimes the temptation is to load more filling in when it's not really necessary. This is where your condiments and sauces come in. Any cheese and tomato can be made more delicious with a smear of pesto or some mustard on cold meat.

Cold chicken and Branston Pickle is good especially with a slice of tomato snuck in there.

Egg mayo with some finely chopped onion and/or celery. Ditto for chicken mayo.

Sloppy fillings can be put between lettuce leaves to stop the bread going soggy.

Cottage cheese with salad. Low fat, easy to plonk on.

    Hi,

Ham , salami , and smoked cheese.

    Brie , grape, and walnut.

Goats cheese , salad, sundried tomatoes.

You could have wetter fillings in a wrap instead so it doesn't go soggy ?

Egg , smoked salmon , with horseradish mayo.

Wraps can have a risotto type filling.

Everytime I come in the OS I end up starving and talking about food !.......off to find something to eat now:rotfl: and I love cold chicken pie as an alternative so sanies,or salad pots,or pasta's..................what you can eat is just endless isn't it:)
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Really need some inspiration, needs to be something that is not too sloppy as he is on the road and eats in the van

do you mean while driving? If so i would be making sloppy stuuf so he has to pull over so to ensure he doesn't have an accident or fall foul of police and lose his job.

Good luck finding good lunches though.

I agree with lostinrates, it actually falls under driving without due care and attention.

I favour pork pie, quiche, pizza or sausage rolls as an alternative to sandwiches.
