Hi all, this is my first time logging my spending, although i am usually very good at staying on budget, my lodger is moving out at the end of the week and will have to spend very little until all the bills flatten themselves out a bit!
My April will start on the 2nd and end on the 30th. I have my shopping delivered every thursday, the day when DH gets paid, from wherever is cheapest for me that week!! (Never Ocado tho  )
There are 4 of us, when lodger goes!, 2 adults and 2 kids (4 & 15 months)
So after all that waffling:silenced: could you put me down for £50 Per week please!!
Thank yoooo!!This is my first time logging my spending!

OK I'm in for an extra frugal April budget of £100 to make up for a disastrous March
And I am NOT doing an online order this month no matter what vouchers tesco sends me!!0 -
Hi - I'm coming to join you. Last year I put my housekeeping up to £500 pcm to cover the price rises but I know I have been wasting stuff - which drives me mad. So I'm joining you to keep me focused. I'm not sure whether to go for £400 or £450 - but will try for £400 as an experiment this month. So please MrsM could you put me down for £400
My month will be from 28th March to 1st May and is for dh, me, ds1 (13 and eats twice as much as his father), ds2 (9), 2 dogs and bird food for the hordes in the garden. It includes cleaning, food, house alcohol (love that phrase), any takeaways and any school dinners. We also entertain a lot for dh's job - some of which is claimable and some of which we just do.
I'm also going to run my packed lunch costs as well - a school dinner for ds2 costs £2.10 and for ds1 £2.50 - so £4.60 a day. I take the amount I would have to pay the school versus my spend (it makes me feel better:D). I don't cost up genuine bits of leftovers from dinner (or doggy bags) but do cost up anything HM for lunches.
We had a dinner party on Sat so had a big spend for that - but the fridge is full of bits which will be used up.
So far this month: £149.64/ £400 (p/lunch £1.70/ £64.40)
Good luck everyone

I had to pick up some eggs, bread, etc today. I still have to pick up some fruit and veg but I am going to get them at the market on Wednesday. I am still nervous that I should have increased the budget for this month but I am going to persevere and see how I get on.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

NSD for me today, but tomorrow will be buying milk, olive oil and bread. Have got a minced beef and onion pie for dinner, along with some new potatoes, carrots and green beans. Fingers crossed the pie will be nice! Really hoping to stretch out the meat and fish we bought in our big shop as only one wage for the next few months will be difficult.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650
